Man I wish I was able to have experienced og SF4 tourneys and locals. I first got into the FGC through SF4 back in middle school around 2014 when they dropped the game for free on Xbox at the time and I remember watching all of the hype moments and wanting to get good like these players so I can be on that stage one day. Sucks I had no one to play and at the time I was too scared to play ranked. If only I had been a bit older, I could have went to locals in my area and met friends to play with.

SF4 definitely should've stuck around a lot longer. People weren't ready to move on. One last balance patch for the final characters was all it needed.

Nightmare share a feeling that most players that started with V have. Some people genuinely loved played 5 at the end (season 4 and later I would says) and we heard 09ers who touched the game a few hours at season 1 dunking about how bad that game and how scrubby/jank that game is, how they were no hype etc.. Without V, I'm not in the FGC. Without V, some other games wouldn't have their scene because some people realize that they don't like modern street fighter. And we heard the same hating BS from 09ers or OGs at 6. Just let people enjoy their game and stop staying this version is so bad and the older one was much better

Honestly I just don't have the respect for Arslan because I know he is one of the greatest Tekken players but, he just never likes to admit defeat and he needs to train more, is more easy to complain about the game and how is build up or about excuses to justify his losses on tournament instead of Practicing more. And Heck, he is using arguably the best Character in the game. I know that T8 is not perfect by any means, there are characters that are way too strong and they need nerfs, but still this Tekken compared to T7 objectively has way better balance. While Devil Jin is bottom tier, he still can Trick you and win and still have pretty decent tools in the neutral, where in Tekken 7 it just needs a Wall for Akuma to literally destroy all you Hp. It's hard to do, yes, but that is just another level of Being broken af. And other characters like Kazuya in T7 have literally 0 neutral control and was an absolute pain to play that character in tournaments. So in my opinion, you don't even have to be a Ball sucker and say things like "oh I got outplayed 100 times" but at least show professional behavior and admit that you have to work more instead of complaining for everything. At least, he needs to acknowledge those defeats and analyze the game to be better and not commit those mistakes again. (Btw, that part of Ball sucker, I don't mean to say that Rangchu is someone like that, he is just Humble and that's fine. In the end he deserves that Win).

Sf4 was something else. Every player had a unique way of playing their character. Now, I have a hard time telling who's playing who unless it's explicitly told to me. Older games just allowed for more variety of gamestyles. When I play vsav or HFTF, my player expression is so different than others.

first time playing tekken 8 with my nephews I got beat up so badly by mashing buttons. Then I started to wonder, how did that happened? But instead of complaining how bad the game was, like any person on twitter... I started to adopt and learn the new mechanics of the game. And now. No matter how hard my nephews mashed that button, I always win.

Tekken is a legacy game with a competitive scene stretching back nearly 30 years. It's *enormously* disrespectful to all the long-time veterans who had major success across multiple iterations of the series to prop up Arslan as the GOAT. Knee is nearly 40 years old with a career spanning two decades and is STILL competing at the highest level. Arslan has been around since 2018. Let that sink in. Let's see how his career pans out and how well he is doing 10-15 years from now before we start deciding his place in the overall pantheon. It's the exact same thing when people compare guys like Mena and Punk to Daigo and Tokido in the Street Fighter GOAT conversation. Put some *goddamn* respect on these legends' names!

I disagree with the different play styles in sf4 every Ryu did the same stuff , Dp fadc ultra 1 . Rufus was dive kick or standing heavy punch . It was just some players where better and more consistent. At the end of the day people are going to like what they started with, some will say third strike is the best or super turbo . Just enjoy steet fighter and be happy.

Ahh. Try to do the plinking in sf4. That was a big frustration to me and such happines when 1 was done correctly. Thats dedication and practice. I didnt like it but I didnt want it removed. It shows the difference with players experience.
