What's funny about the MVCI&B trailer is the few people that are calling it a cash grab and then not listening to almost everyone else saying it's a free mod, or the people saying they want a re-release of MVC2 instead, not realizing we've had it since summertime and then claiming they're "not nerds" and didn't know lol

I don’t hat hate max. But he can be pretty self centred , he often like to take basic ideas and frame it as his, he likes to glaze his own work too often and for to long , his pretending to be hype /knowledgeable/interested only to drop the game after the content cycle is over, if he can’t self insert as a blonde red guy he probably won’t like ur game , also this mvci mod is fine but it was much cooler when he payed to jailbreak umvc3, that game has so many characters now and max has a hand in that ,also the pre established modding scene , but I think max wants to talk “ as a dev” so he would rather be a lead on a lighting mod for the worst mvc game. I don’t think he’s a bad guy or anything but the community glazes him enough , he doesn’t need to do it himself . Max is a chill guy who put the work in to earn his spot, but the idea that he’s still some industry underdog is over even if the fans still see him that way , like any KZbinrs he’s got narratives to push and relationships to maintain , often he’s genuinely hype but just as often he’s got an agenda like anyone else….

If I'm not mistaken, isn't this GGMaidenSlayer the same guy who challenged Sonic Fox to an MK11 match for $10K only to lose miserably as well as under condition of becoming a furry (Quackerman) himself as a result? Also, didn't Button Check cover said story? And what was up with that Shonen Anime-esqe speech GG gave at the end of that match? One would think that first ass whuppin was enough humiliation. Not often you see someone willingly become a lol cow. Props to Max for revitalizing Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite. However, it should be noted that he had no choice but to make it free, otherwise Capcom (and certainly Disney) would've sent a cease and desist letter. That said, for him to put so much time, effort, and money is a testament to the man's passion.

Heres my take. If you look back at capcom's record, they are pretty chill about their games being modded (just dont cheat on their live services) and they will usually leave you alone. Few examples, Megaman x SF fanmade game was made available on their website to show support of the fans work. RE2 remake was a fan project that got a DNC from capcom but then flew them out to show them what they were working on which was a RE2 remake they were hoping to keep quiet. And the last isnt talked about much but when MUGEN was huge with taking sprites from games and putting into online for those to download and use within MUGEN, SNK had a few DNCs to some sites to take their work down while capcom responded, "We think it's interesting and love to see what our fans come up with to celebrate our characters". While this could be old capcom and new capcom could change their minds, i really dont think so i have hope they are still just as chill. However, disney could be a problem, and thats the only people id think would make an attempt if they have any right to it.
