That’s 1000% my strategy! 😆 I’m always on a diet EXCEPT when on a cruise (and around holidays, of course)!

Most people who want assigned dining prefer the early time, so I expect that it's fuller than then late time. But if you have an assigned table, it doesn't really matter if the dining room is full, you should still have great service.

I like that I can at least count on Marriott brands to be clean. I stayed in one Wyndham property and looked at reviews of several others since that stay (I have access to discount rates) and I have yet to return to any of those brands to save money. Dampness is typical in the spring/summer when they don’t keep A/C running when the rooms are empty. It’s unfortunate but I’ll take that over dirty carpets and cringy breakfast areas lol

They don’t provide trays to do so… but no one will stop you from bringing food to your cabin. We frequently do it with pizza because it travels easily.

My theory is that the employees that work Blue Iguana and Guys Burgers have to go over and staff the dining room kitchen which doesn’t allow for those to be open later. But I 100% agree with you!

The stir fry was delicious and I believe they were wide rice noodles. Pizzeria del Capitano was still open late when we were on board, but the pizza on the buffet is from the new late night menu.

Carnival definitely went for modern decor and styling starting with the Vista. I haven’t been on Dream class yet to compare to those. Personally, I like the modern look, but I appreciate the grandeur of the older ships. You might want to consider Venezia or Firenze which are the same general layout but are Italian themed so they have more styling that you would appreciate. (But beware they have smaller pools and fewer loungers!)

There’s music and they intro the officers and give out some prizes. Mostly it’s an opportunity for free drinks tho lol

Do you mean the grab and go stuff at Java Blue on MG? No Horizon doesn’t have that. They didn’t use the space for Grab and Go on Jubilee, so they might not be doing it on MG anymore either.

There isn’t free iced coffee anywhere, but you could ice hot coffee for free. Maybe fill a water bottle with hot coffee in the evening and put it in your mini fridge before you go to bed, then grab ice when you’re ready to drink it!. I realize I’m telling you to drink stale coffee, but this was how a coffee shop I worked in made iced coffee- they refrigerated the leftover hot coffee at the end of the day lol

This cabin has two US outlets and two European outlets. So if your phone will plug into one of those you’re good! (There were no USB ports.)

I believe you can use it 24 hours a day. The availability of food/beverage is limited. I can't say for sure though because I never tried to go in late at night once the ice cream and latte machine were shut down.

Haha, after watching the video I actually said to Lauren, "It's amazing that I made it through that meal in a white shirt." I'm glad that someone else recognized my accomplishment. 😅

On Excel class (which Celebration is in) Carnival renumbered their passenger decks and 4 is the equivalent of deck 1 on the prior ships. So, very little movement!

They do have signs above the food. It’s extremely hard for me to show the food and the signs at a speed that’s readable without making fellow passengers mad (they get impatient and will go around me and cut me off) so I skipped trying to show them. :/ But rest assured that on your cruise, everything will be labeled!

Yes, they’re both co-ed.

I’ve heard people complain of ash on their stuff. I’ve never experienced that issue in the hot tubs or on the cruise where I had one of the deck 5 balconies. Don’t leave stuff outside to dry and you shouldn’t have an issue :)

Slides are included! We weren’t impressed with the waterless slides on Prima. They were really slow. But the same slides were better on Viva. So maybe it was the lack of humidity making them slow somehow. When we were on Prima it was a cruise to Iceland, so there weren’t many kids and it was cold outside, hence no lines.

It was ranch! We were trying to show that ranch is available there. Neither of us even uses it on pizza lol 😆 Thanks for watching!

Agreed. That bothered me every night. It’s not like that on NCL or Carnival. Next time we go on Royal, I’m probably gonna suck it up and pick one of the assigned times. They have much better two-person seating options.

Yes! Interior cabins are usually tiny. The square ones are bigger and the same price! Carnival doesn’t differentiate them by shape. Look at the deck plans for the square ones.
