Sorry I’m just getting to this video, may I ask why your trips (cruises) kept getting cancelled to Bermuda? I’m going on NCL in October & it’s a really special 30yr anniversary, so no chance of cancellations😢
@laurenofalltrades3 күн бұрын
We had one cruise booked to Bermuda that was canceled due to the covid pandemic, which we then re-booked, had canceled again, rinse and repeat. Now that the world is back to normal, we've been able to go twice with no cancelations. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you just in case, but you should be safe. Have a great cruise!

We didn't plan to do it this way. I accidentally booked our hotel near the airport, not realizing that the Reykavic Airport Courtyard Marriott isn't really in Reykjavic, and so we needed a car. I wanted to stay at a Marriott and got an excellent price so we kept it after I realized my error. But that worked out for the best because we were able to buy this tour instead of a bus tour. From Google Maps, it looks like no, and it's surrounded by highways so you're not going to be walking anywhere. We didn't eat while we were there except for the hotel's free breakfast.

I have a few questions if you don't mind. How difficult is it to bring your luggage with you? Do they have any restrictions, like weight or do they need to scan your luggage like an airport? The last question you may not know. But we are catching the ferry at Paulus Hook, and I guess they stop at Hoboken before they go to Midtown. Do we stay on the same ferry, or do we get off on Hoboken and catch another ferry to Midtown? Thanks in advance.
@laurenofalltrades14 күн бұрын
For the ferry there's no issues with luggage and no x-ray-ing. You just won't easily be able to get it up to the upper level because of the stairs. I've only taken the Weehawken/Port Imperial ferry to Midtown. Looks like Paulus Hook to Midtown requires a transfer at the Brookfield Place Terminal and the first ferry goes to Hoboken before going to Brookfield (you'd stay on the ferry for that part). I don't know if you'd have to buy a separate ticket for the 2nd leg.
@laurenofalltrades14 күн бұрын
**But check if that option is available on the weekends because they have reduced service.
@lovermonkey14 күн бұрын
@@laurenofalltrades It wouldn't be the weekend. It would be on a Thursday. Looking at the schedule, it shows Paulus Hook to Hoboken, then it goes to Midtown. I don't see Brookfield. Maybe I am reading it wrong. I didn't know if we were supposed to get off the ferry and catch another one at Hoboken or what. It really doesn't say. Thank you for your help.
@laurenofalltrades11 күн бұрын
I used Google maps to get the route. You can send them an email. I did once to check if Labor Day would have a weekend schedule or Monday schedule and they got back to me quickly. Specify that you're asking about a weekday. And because I don't always remember to think about the return trip - so I hope yours is also a week day or that could trip you up on the return..

HUGE thank you for covering tea time! You are probably the first to do so for the Jubilee. Glad it is still a thing and the food looks fantastic. I have always had the impression that Carnival was sort of hiding the fact tea time even exists given the odd placement in their app. I'd bet most people don't even know about it.

I don't think they realize they hid it, but yes, I agree that few people know about it. I will definitely try again on my next cruise. I understand they are busy but they should not say coffee is available if it’s not.

That's a bummer. It sounds like you got unlucky and had a server who didn't know what they were doing yet. We usually get tea but have been successful at getting coffee when we wanted it. Now I'm going to have to order coffee at Tea Time on my next cruise as a test lol.

Hello We just returned from 5day on the Breeze. I was excited to have new menu choices. Emeril helped revamp the menu so I expected herbs and spices but was highly disappointed. Im sure it’s difficult to cater to so many palettes. But Im from New Orleans and I must add that the Crawfish fettuccine was an insult to the dish. The menu is Overall Lacking in flavor but there were a couple of decent choices. The Indian choices are redundant but the most flavorful on the menu. We sail on the Jubilee in a few months and I hope the food is better seasoned esp in Emerils Bistro

That's how all standard balconies are on cruise ships, regardless of cruise line. It's for structure, security, and privacy. There might be select cabins on various ships that have more openness, but nothing that I can cite offhand.

I didn't become platinum until after they eliminated the hors d'oeuvres so I don't miss them. I don't think I would if I had experienced them. There's so many free options on these ships in particular. But the static feel of the party in the theater with no space for mingling and just the glass of wine is really meh. We skipped it on our Jubilee cruise that was this past Feb. I do like the free drink that's added to you account to be redeemed after 4pm on the last day because you can pick whatever you want from any bar instead of just what the theater menu has.
