Great! I particularly like your sound settings. They catch Bruces bass sound very well.

The PJ seems to have dead spots with that E string kinda flattening out, where the JMJ is just solid all round.

All the money I’ve spent on new strings for 50 years! Lol. If I had invested that money, I’d have some nice retirement funds!

Was a long time ago when I recorded this but I’m 99% sure the Player PJ had 105-45 D’addario flats and the JMJ has 105-45 fender flats straight from the factory

I think the mustang is a short scale that I could like but I would have to use flats to have some feeling that it is still a bass. The shorts scales just don't compare to a long scale .

I used to know a somewhat arrogant bassist who turned his nose up at anything that wasn’t metal-so I challenged him a tenner to play along with this. After all it’s only a punk song, how hard can it be?? Guy folded before the first chorus 😂

The JMJ sounds better than the P/J setup. I was expecting to hear the P/J setup win, but honestly I love the tone coming from the JMJ. It is the winner!
