Please don’t ever, EVER add baking soda to sweet tea. That’s not how we make sweet tea in the south. Putting anything other than sugar in your sweet tea is heretical.

Thank you for this soup recipe!! I'm a new subscriber. I cannot digest milkfat (from birth) so I will have to make with skim. Any suggestions for success with skim milk?
@JustAddMoreButter10 сағат бұрын
Excellent question! Yes, you can replace the heavy cream and milk for skim milk. Since this will remove what makes the soup nice and thick, you'll want to make a cornstarch slurry. I would start with 3 tbsp of cornstarch with half a cup of the skim milk in a small bowl, mix until there are no cornstarch lumps. Then, using a whisk, add your slurry to the simmering soup on your stovetop. Gradually your soup should start to thicken. Just be aware that by removing the heavy cream, it's taking away some of the richness from the soup.

These were fantastic. I used cherry and strawberry jam. I added 1/4 teaspoon almond extract to the icing and had some leftover brown butter icing from Sally’s baking addiction pecan sugar cookies (highly recommend them) it was delicious with these. Although, it wasn’t as white it paired really well with the cookie and I’ll be using it next time I make them.

Like others have said, I searched a lot of vids and this is the best I've found as well :) I use cocktail peanuts, they are a little more salty and greasy mmmmm. And I sprinkle pretzel salt in the bottom with the first layer of nuts then sprinkle some more on top before pressing down. I like the foil idea but my bars got stuck so I was picking foil bits out lol, no biggie they were a big hit at the football festivities! I gonna try using parchment paper this time heh.

Bring the pot to a boil, throw the bags in, take off heat and cover. I usually put the sugar in the container and pour the tea over it.

For the pecan puffs does the butter matter if it's unsalted or salted? And does it matter if it's Sticks or in a container?
@JustAddMoreButter18 күн бұрын
If unsalted butter is all you have, then sure, it should be fine. However, I would stick to regular butter in the stick form. Spreadable container butter should not be used for this recipe. You technically can use spreadable butter for baking in a pinch, it's generally not recommended because the added oils in spreadable butter can lead to inconsistent results like dense or soggy baked goods due to its higher water content and altered fat composition compared to regular stick butter.

Making these today! I’ll update and tell you how it turns out ☺️ Edit: okay so I made the cupcakes and they were good but the frosting was really sweet because the dulce de leche was already sweet itself and adding the confection sugar made it really sweet. I think using cream cheese would have helped level it out
