Its attitude era fans vs new generation, but it’s all very simple. THE INDUSTRY HAS CHANGED. It has nothing to do with parental ratings or soft weak politically correct fans. It’s the fact that characters like stone cold can’t organically produce anymore. No one is allowed to be an edgy person on their own. Back in the 90s, wrestling company’s would look the other way on criminal backgrounds and drug use. Now, the wwe is no different from applying to any other cooperate job. the product is just lame. I don't know how else to put it. It has no edge to it that doesn't come across as contrived or ironic. In an attempt to milk it for all its worth and to appeal to all they have homogenized the product to a point where no one is really pleased and everything is just plain mediocre.
