Thank you so much!! When you say rake in hairspray, what does that mean? Do you put it on your hands and rake it in? Sometimes my hair sprayed hair looks a little helmet like so looking for tips 😅
@TheCurlStory19 күн бұрын
Hi 👋 Spray the hairspray onto your hair, then, using your hands like a rake, rake in the product to help distribute it into your curls. This helps to give it a defined but natural look. Let me know how it goes!

Great question! It’s recommended to use the gel sparingly. To refresh/touch-up curls, use the Reflex serum.

Hey i have afro hair and when im in the shower my hair is part curly and a bit afro. When it dries its a total mess very frizzy and i look like a lions mane. Also i have shrinkage and whenever i add water it gets shorter when it dries. Is there any way i could get my hair curly, unfrizzy and not shrink and using no water. Ps: very sorry im bombarding u with my problems
@TheCurlStory3 ай бұрын
Hi! Your hair is amazing! Water is the key though. Curls thrive with hydration. A strong hold gel on wet hair will set smooth curls. Shrinkage is real, but hydration helps there too. 🌺

Very helpful video and today I tried your technique on my hair with good results. I notice your methods are very methodical and require patience. Can you please share what shampoo and conditioner you used on this day? Also, are you still using the Giovanni LA Hold gel or are you exclusively using the NYM one? 😊

Been looking for a video that shows what you are doing, how much hair to curl etc. my problem is I have really thick hair and my arms ache after a while...
@TheCurlStory4 ай бұрын
Hi! I completely understand. Try the first technique I showed at the beginning of the video. Using a brush to smooth, then rake to create the individual curls, then a soft scrunch. You can reserve the coiling for a few key curls. 🌺

I tried this, but have trouble figuring which way the hair is curling just by looking at it, I haven’t found a video that elaborates on this. I am only 4 months into embracing my curls after a lifetime of straightening (I’m 68) I love my new found curls!

I was waiting for something like this. This is exactly the way I style my hair, as in, I love to finger coil. But I needed to understand towards the finishing. Do you use a finishing spray, and over top of that, do you use the diffuser? Or do you use a diffuser and then spray as the final step? I was a little concerned because all hair sprays are rather flammable. I read the warnings on this particular spray that you used. Which means that if you expose the hairspray to the heat of the diffuser, you could be causing some other problems such as a fire. ❤
@TheCurlStory4 ай бұрын
Hi! I use the hairspray before diffusing to set the curls. This is approved and performed in hair salons as well. Be sure to never use a hair dryer that sparks for any use.
