What I would love to know is how you managed to maintain after Atom Editor sunsetted? Did you build your own internal modules? That would make a great video (if you haven't already explained it)
For example, I made a cson-to-yaml converter to drop the coffee-script dependency. github.com/inkdropapp/cson-to-yaml

Once you introduce some new features, I might consider switching to Inkdrop. I also find it fascinating to follow its development, as I believe it’s a fantastic project idea for programmers.

Hey Takuya, I have recently switched my electron apps to tauri apps. As it is more lightweight and practical for front and backend working in harmony, I'd highly recommend it for inkdrop!

🎉 Great job Takuya, thanks for the video 😊 Do we already have a way to add support for a specific language syntax? (such as rust, for instance)
@craftzdog23 күн бұрын
Rust is already supported. Which language would you like to add? You can create a plugin to add a language support something like this: github.com/inkdropapp/inkdrop-lang-graphql

Thank you for the updates and the video :) 1. The full-text search is super useful for me. I have a question about this search feature: I stored the command `firebase deploy -m "comment"` in one of my notes and wanted to search for it. The only part I remembered was `-m`. That's why I searched for `-m` in the search bar. However, the following message was displayed: "Failed to search. Cannot use excluding modifiers only without including conditions." On Google I found one of your blog posts which explains that the minus symbol "excludes text from search". That's the reason why `-m` could not be found. It's likely for me to include command options like `-m` in the global search when searching for a specific command in my notes. For example when I search for this command `npx npkill --target dist -e -E "node_modules"` and I only remember `dist -e` for example, then this search would fail. However, two dashes work like in the command `pnpm update --latest`. Do you have a tip on how to deal with that? 2. I wanted to use the translucent background on Windows 10 which doesn't work as you mentioned in the video. Do you know if Windows 10 can be supported at some time in the future or is it not possible? 3. I noticed that the sidebar menu on the right is slightly translucent and blurry when using the default dark theme. That reminded me of the new CSS blog post from Josh Comeau. It's about creating frosted glass with CSS. You can find this blog post by searching for "Josh Comeau Next-level frosted glass with backdrop-filter" on Google. It's very interesting and maybe it's useful for you in the future.
@craftzdog23 күн бұрын
1. You can specify "-m" with double quotes. 2. No, unless Electron supports Windows 10, but will unlikely happen. 3. Thanks!

Tsx can be buggy af. And as the application grows, the slower the transpiling will become. I switched my dev script to run: *node --watch --env-file=.env src/index.js* and swapped in "jsconfig.json" to get type inference. I'm holding out until the node experimental flag for reading (not transpiling) TS files becomes officially supported before I switch to writing TS in node. I'll just lean on JSDocs for the unlimited raw of code I'll need too write. The middleware, zod and drizzle will be the vast majority of my code anyways
@frederikclaus72573 ай бұрын
I feel like all of this could have been accomplished with a simple text file much more efficiently. Often the most important point of taking notes is not to refer to them later on, but the act of writing them down. With a simple text file you don't waste time formatting notes that you might never look at again.
