I've also been using last years Christmas cards for decorating gifts and name tags. Perfect for my family. When I run out I use thrifted cards and any Christmas junk mail, just cut a pretty picture out.

The brass faucet would look weird. I’d say either upgrade with a modern silver faucet or try a light champagne faucet so the contrast is less harsh on the eyes. Definitely wait until the new handles are installed before making a decision.

Yes, the brass faucet would look weird and tacky with the silver sink. That's my opinion. Also, I'm so glad you're not only buying "aestgetic" toys. I have an 8 yr old and we bought a condo a few years ago and I thought I would make her room super neutral to match the rest of the house. I figured I would have her choose "colors" from a neutral pallet but am so happy that I went against it. Our children should enjoy things that are for children instead of things that we as adults prefer. We should let them have what they love if were able to. The backsplash looks great, I'm definitely doing the same to mine. Its all silver and light blue and grey and ugly so thanx for sharing what you used.

I painted our backsplash tile in our first home too! It looks much better and I was totally hoping you'd change your pulls to brass before you said so. I think a brass faucet will look good too. The silver sink will still work with the appliances so it's a win.
