i think turning off private is fair especially since the hunters are using scripts to track your xp/kc, scouts, and various plugins to help them pk you.

I really respect the challenge you set for yourself but I can't help to feel like you are needlessly giving handicaps to people who already do not show any restraint or 'sportsmanship' in this hunting game. This is exemplified by the use of bots to track you; the use of scout bots in game and bots to get information about your playing activity (search your account on WiseOldMan, which is a hiscore tracking page like TempleOSRS or CrystalMathLabs). I'm certain they probably have more things which aren't so easily identified through public scrutiny like using cheat clients etc., so I would just absolutely hate it for you to lose the hardcore and cut this journey short because of these people who are quick to take the step too far to satisfy their hunger for runescape gold. PVP definitely feels dead to some extent so I totally agree with the leisure attitude which also helps pull people into PVP, but it seems to attract the wrong crowd, would you consider reapplying some countermeasures such as player indicators, or perhaps talk to the people behind WiseOldMan and other tracking websites so they could limit tracking (e.g. 1 per day max) or even exclude your account? For what it's worth the WiseOldMan people are some of the same RuneLite developers so I'm sure they would be open to listen and make an exception to you. Loving the series, hoping to see you achieve the zuk helm

A fun way to make use of Private OFF would be to allow it as a reward. Say you get a Grandmaster task, that counts as a full day or hour of time with Private OFF, which may enable certain risky work to be a bit safer, and that enables a little more planning and reward from the increased safety. Getting a Collection Log giving 10 minutes is another option
