I miss the Sky Islands. Both Borderlands Restoration and Watershed Mgmt Group are working to save the region.

This is so under viewed. Easily the best if not only doc about the biodiverse habitats in the sky islands.🔥🔥

I agree it’s under viewed but there are a bunch of documentaries about these “islands”

Very nicely done! Mr. Pinto is an excellent narrator. Unreal to see governing agencies bow again and again to corporate interests, which will for sure, lead to some short term jobs and local economic stimulation, at the cost of long term sustainability and ecological/human health. Green, sustainable economies i.e. eco-tourism for places as unique and special as the Sky Islands are, empirically, the balanced approach towards economic and ecologically beneficial outcomes.

This is terrible. I have always loved the Patagonia area. That part of AZ is one of the most beautiful and unique parts in all of North America! I have never seen any place quite like it. Patagonians, fight this! File lawsuits! Tie them up in the courts! Don't let them get away with this! Please don't let them destroy beautiful Patagonia and surrounding areas!

Fantastic video. I'm an 18-yr resident of neighboring Cochise County and am horrified this mine is even being considered, along with the Rosemont Mine in the Santa Ritas. Indeed, changing the mining laws is crucial. I found this video on a link from Occupy Tucson's Facebook page!!

As a descendant of an Appalachia mining family, I have seen the brutal effects mining has on the environment and the community. Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting Patagonia in all of its beauty. I sincerely hope you win this battle against mining in Patagonia. My great-grandfather, a miner and union activist of 44 years, would surely feel the same.

For the greed of some rich people they destroy a whole area of wonderful nature and the lives of the happy people living there in Patagonia, Arizona. We shouldn't let this happen.

Oh, my. What a sweet, reverent, and noble love affair that this photographer has with this great land. The images and music race right to my heart, and they make a powerful case for leaving the Patagonia area as it it, without the disruptive and destruction presence of mining. You rock, Gooch! You do. Thank you for all the advocacy you're doing on behalf of this sacred land. You have my deepest respect. - Katherine Minott
