A great shame that you could not go down the steps into the underground strongroom, due to the floor being flooded ( again )... It really is the ' Jewel in the crown ' of the whole of Hadrian's Wall... A wonderful survival from 1500 years ago... Over the past decades, I have visited Chesters Fort many times, and have always gone down into the strongroom... A 6 foot tall person can just stand upright inside it... From 15:55 to 16:05 is the best view of the remains of the strongroom...

Great video but the music is too bizarre, at least at the beginning with Blood Red Sun. Who is approving this stuff? Go back and fix it with something more appropriate, then repost. Thanks.

Hi NormaRead, The bungalow is in Framlingham. Check out my other video where we visited the Dectorists locations there. We did not include this location, but it could easily be added to the tour that we did. Check out the link in that video which takes you to a Google map which shows many of the Detectorist locations.

I remember this back in the late 90s. I had had surgery on my ankles so I was in a wheelchair. My parents took to me to Disney world because we could get into every attraction before everyone else. We had to wait 45 minutes for this show but it was really good. Glad to see it’s still there.

Well worth the visit. Just be careful with road leading to it, some fast drivers hurtle along and can catch you out if you're entering from a junction.

Excellent video. I was surprised that the Antonine Wall foundations in Bearsden were not covered in either film. I live South of the Antonine Wall but have to drive passed the start point of Old Kilpatrick before coming to my work place at Duntocher. There are many local buildings, youth clubs, community and sports centres that have the name Antonine. There are also street names like Antonine Way. The School I work in has different names for base classes in primary & Secondary & one Secondary class is called Antonine.

Hi Jinty92, Thank you for your feedback, much appreciated. These two films describe a two day walk along the most scenic and well-preserved part of the wall between Kirkintilloch and Falkirk, which I highly recommend. The wall ran from coast to coast and I visited all visible remains including Bearsden which are featured in this film that you might want to check out. kzbin.info/www/bejne/sGTKhZmjitl7q80
