that's not as hard as humanly possible. as hard as humanly possible: you start with a level 1 magikarp with 0 ivs, all the pokemon on route 1 are level 100 and the encounter rate is 100. good luck

funny, unless we count the effort of evolving your pkmn, you get all but 2-3 as presents. you get venusaur as a present from professor oak at game start, then you bought magicarp (got scammed anyway), then you got eevee for free from some girl, then you bought dratini, then you got lapras from some guy and eventually you traded in a fossil for aerodactyl. well, you couldve also gotten hitmonlee or hitmonchan and omanite or kabuto, so that's a little surprising, not sure where they went.

you're allowing switching right after defeating a foe's pokemon, so it isn't as hard as it could've been.

So are you not allowed to use the 5 free Pokeballs, 2 free starter Potions, and Berries (one time use obviously except from the Berry family)? I got confused since there are many free items on the way to Roxanne, and in a challenge like this, they are invaluable. Unlike in the Kanto games, you don't need the Itemfinder to pick up hidden items, long as you know where they're at. That and the free case of Soda Pop at the Beach house also help with heals. Btw, I'm making this comment before watching the entire run. Putting Rock Smash on Swampert hurt me, I always catch a Zigzagoon just to use a my HM user since it can learn R.S, Cut, Strength (after becoming Linoon), and Surf, making it the second best HM user, only beaten by i believe Tropius... not sure on that one...
