I love smokey eyes and nude lips, a light, warm beige foundation and a bit of powder/bronzer, no blush or anything else. I think understated natural-looking make-up looks great on all women. Excessive make-up is ageing and looks high-maintenance, who wants to spend an hour doing your make-up before going out?! I wonder what men think of overly made-up women (the thick foundation, crazy-scary eyelashes and brows, excessive blush) I think they're actually turned off by them because they think they're high-maintenance and not very natural

I can't stand those inflated lips, they look awful imo and it's so risky to inject whatever it is they inject, I hear they're going out of fashion. I also think claw-like nails painted in bold colours/patterns are vulgar, I prefer natural colours, understated ones (taupe, mid-brown, etc.) or classic red, or just keep your nails clean and healthy, maybe buff them, that's all I need. I'm quite proud of my toenails too (I'm 58) so I quite like just keeping them nicely trimmed and natural. Let's not forget that nail varnishes and nail removers and also removing cuticles is not very good, it can lead to nail discoloration, infections, etc. - there's a reason why we have cuticles.

My fave pieces are wool sweaters layered with turtlenecks over a plaid skirt. Grab a long chunky scarf and throw on an oversized black overcoat. Perfect outfit! 👍🏻

Umm, I think Prada is just as much downtown as it is uptown. Prada has always had a vintage vibe to it that lends a curated thrift feel.

Somebody should tell the lovely Olsen twins to adopt a better posture, they always look slumped with their head and neck forward, there's really no point in wearing expensive beautiful clothes if you don't stand up straight, shoulders back, tummy and hips in, head high, stop looking at your phone as it gives you a bad posture, hunched shoulders, and you'll be in a lot of pain in later years.

A fantastic recap and a reminder of all your hard work this year, thank you Loya. Celebrities I don't look up to: The Hadid sisters (I even find their faces ugly), Kylie Jenner and all her clan, Dua Lipa and Rhianna, I think they're often vulgar and attention-seekers without a defined style. It's Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, Sofia Coppola, Kaia Gerber and her mum, and chic Parisian women for me. My favourite style is elevated basics, timeless, chic, simple and wearable.

Minimalist is for lazy people that doesn’t know anything about art and elements of design. You doesn’t have to think too much to dressing minimalist. They bought the same amount of clothes than maximalist.

Quite a few of the influencers you've featured in this video have very full lips which are probably not natural. I really hate this inflated lip trend that's become so prevalent, it looks awful imo and such big lips look out of place on what would otherwise be lovely, natural young faces. I can't wait for this trend to die down, also those ridiculous lashes, overdone eyebrows, excessive make-up and contouring, which thankfully Swedish ladies don't seem to have adopted. Stockholm women look natural and effortlessly beautiful and I really aspire to look like that. PS I also think men find overly made-up women quite offputting too - too high maintenance and unnatural, too much make-up is also ageing - rant over.

I love Stockholm style, although it's a bit slouchy for me, for example the coats are usually long and oversize. Lovely Swedish ladies can pull it off because they've good genes, usually tall and slim, I'm only 5ft and cannot wear loose/boxy/oversize clothes from top to bottom, I can wear at most one slouchy piece. I follow the Stockholm Street Style channel and am full of admiration for Swedish women (and men) of all ages who are always well-groomed with great hair, their style is simple, chic and comfortable. Even when wearing more casual/sporty outfits, they don't look sloppy.

I've binged all your videos. Love it. Can you do a coastal grandma video next? Also, if you wanna branch out into new territories for your channel, can you do style analysis videos on a particular person. For example, Hailey Bieber - break down her style, the clothes she gravitates to and how to get fet the look. Hailey beiber, kendall jenner, princess Diana...all ladies I'd love to watch a video on ❤

Thank you so much Loya. The penny lane coat brings back the 70s for me and although it looks a bit too vintage/casual for me now (I'm 58 years young) I would like to just have a big fur collar on one of my wool coats to make it look more luxurious and keep me warm. I've definitely adopted the "all brown" look with a cashmere & wool brown cardigan and matchiing 70s style corduroy trousers. Love suede and I invested i 3 suede jackets this year from Zara and Massimo Dutti, plus suede bags and boots. Suede is my favourite material, I never wear leather, always suede, it looks so chic and elegant.

Hello lovely Loya and thank you for a very original and interesting video. I've always loved faux fur so I guess I have taken part in this trend without knowing it. I would be interested in a video about Scandinavian style. I follow the Stockholm Street Style channel and those Swedish ladies definitely know how to dress simply but beautifully, their style seems effortless. It helps that they seem to have very good genes - tall, great hair, slim, I actually think their style may even have surpassed the Parisian chic trope. Thank you, Lulu x

Glad to see some pops of colour. Because some people's take on Parisian chic means neutrals only. Which ends up looking drab.

Thank you so much Loya for another brilliant video. A lot of the coats you showed are so oversize that even models/tall women look like they're drowning in all that fabric - I'm petite so I'll stick to more fitted outerwear. Instead of puffer jackets and coats, I wear faux fur, as long as it's not too bulky, otherwise it makes me look fat and bulky (I'm just 5 ft). I will be experimenting with more layering this winter, I have some great vintage knitted vests which I just used to wear over shirts, but I want to start wearing them over thin merino long-sleeve jumpers/sweaters in the cold weather. I have invested in merino tights so hopefully I'll be able to wear my (short) skirts even in winter instead of always reaching for trousers, there are lots of very warm fleece tights on sale too, it'll be worth trying one pair and see how they feel, probably they'll keep you nice and warm outside but might be uncomfortably hot indoors. My goal this winter is to brighten up these neutral pieces, e.g. coats, trousers, with a bit of sparkle or pattern, e.g. in beanie hats, scarves, blouses, brooches worn on coat/jacket lapels, etc. - it's easy to look a bit drab otherwise, especially once you've reached a certain age and your face might be droopy or wrinkly or your skin a bit dull. I bought a natural looking foundation in warm beige to make my face look slightly tanned, it makes a lot of difference. I like my gold metallic scarf peeping out of my faux fur coat to add a bit of sparkle. Or a patterned necktie, blouse, etc. but not a loud statement blouse like the one you showed, it's really a bit over the top imo and too memorable, it will date quickly and you will get tired of such a bold pattern quickly. What I won't be wearing this winter are whites/off-whites and oversize outerwear, including those massive scarves. If you must wear an oversize piece, just wear that one item (e.g. wide leg jeans/corduroys, etc.) and the rest in your normal size. I get the feeling that we have reached peak oversize and that just like blazers have become more fitted, the rest will follow.

Thank you so much for such a thoughtful and detailed comment! I truly appreciate you sharing your personal approach to winter fashion and layering-your insights add so much value to the conversation. ❤️ You’re absolutely right about oversized outerwear not being everyone's cup of tea, especially for petites. And your point about balancing an oversized piece with more fitted items is spot on for creating a more proportionate silhouette. It’s such a great way to keep the look modern without feeling overwhelmed. Thank you again for sharing your tips and preferences-I’m sure so many others will find them just as inspiring as I do!
