How to Create a Fall Capsule Wardrobe | 20 Outfits with 20 Pieces

This autumn I've invested in two suede jackets and a pre-loved midnight blue velvet blazer, which I intend to dress down with a pair of great bootcut darker wash jeans and suede ankle boots. I also have an olive velvet pants suit I bought from Mango last year which I'm going to wear with an off-white blouse under a grey scoop neck merino sweater. I love suede and I have also bought several Mary Jane shoes and boots in neutral tones and a couple of structured (not slouchy) handbags.

While I appreciate the video concept, and am in the process of building my own capsule wardrobe, it’s kind of ridiculous that celebrities and influencers are the examples of capsule wardrobe perfection, when these people often have closets bigger than my entire apartment and get new clothes for free all the time.

Thank you for your comment. I've chosen influencers and celebrities to serve as examples of how to combine classic capsule wardrobe pieces. I tried to pick names who are good at looking stylish with these simple pieces. Of course, it's obvious that they don't actually own a basic capsule wardrobe.

All the celebrities featured here wear quite simple clothes that can easily be copied. They provide great inspiration. It's precisely because these famous people have access to stylists and the best clothes that we should take inspiration from them when they get it right. There is nothing ridiculous about it. I'd rather be inspired by cool, chic, classy people than those who buy and look cheap. It's your choice, if you don't like it, go to another channel.
