I hope you’re not breathing in particulates of thinner as you’re beating your brush.
@paintwithfaye9 ай бұрын
Hi there, no worries! I’ve been using paint thinner for 24 years now, painting very often. I’ve never experienced any kind of breathing problems. As long as a person is careful, and do not have any underlying health conditions, I believe they will be fine. 😀

ma’am, your just darling as all get out. I came from Josh’s channel he is a daggone fool but a doll with it so 💅🏻 he gets my views. I had pegged him the champ……. Well until you brought me in from the cold! Bbrrrrrrr Josh! It’s cold out there bro!! You better get a jacket or somethin! We in here sipping this hot tea ☕️ 😂 lol Miss Faye, he looks a little blue … like a bluenvy-Green to be exact. 🧟♂️❄️. All jokes mostly aside, I’m the insanely jealous one here, painting all my life and still yet unable to even properly paint boulders/rocks which frustrates my ego so bad I always throw the tantrum towel or whatever else is nearby. Literally have a baseball sized rock lodged in my friends dining room wall from a 80% completed mural. They got it for free needless to say.

The devil is still fully alive and well in each and every one of those brushes. Great video, thanks for the tips!!

Hell no you didn’t beat the devil out it so this isn’t the bob ross way of cleaning your brushes
@AnewStart-Mark Жыл бұрын
are you still active teaching on zoom?
@paintwithfaye Жыл бұрын
Not at this time. I’m mostly teaching in-person Certification classes in Indiana and in Georgia.
@AnewStart-Mark Жыл бұрын
you did not last long. so many painters would have loved your teaching and your beautiful calm inviting voice.. no fog separation between mountain and tree line? Bob would have put a fog line between them to show more distance mostly separation.
@paintwithfaye Жыл бұрын
Bob did things differently over his 403 paintings. And of course, I’m not nearly as good as Bob. 😊 I actually have over 250 videos but they’re unlisted, for use on another platform for paid subscribers. I have recently ceased making videos, to make time for more in-person teaching.

CRI is boycott by a lot of Ross fans. their brush's are not all natural hog hair bristle anymore. they told me in an EMAIL they are mixed now combination of natural and synthetic. also that Liquid white you showed look like the old Ross type, the liquid white they push now is pure liquid "lin seed" and a little white food colour. you have any tips or hacks on frayed 1 inch brush?
@paintwithfaye Жыл бұрын
Actually, that’s not much of a thing anymore. It’s very easy to see that the film that caused an uproar is packed full of inconsistencies (lies). As a CRI of 21 years, I have seen tons of kindness, goodwill, and honoring Bob Ross from BRI and absolutely nothing but the opposite from his son Steve. It’s quite sad. I’m prouder to to be a Certified Ross Instructor than I’ve ever been.

I'm looking for quality canvas for wet on wet. Do you have name brands that are good to look for? I heard Gotrick was one.

Hard to see what the brush is doing on the canvas can only see back of your hand. Would be nice to see the angle your holding the brush. ☺️

Go ahead and beat the devil out of it in your living room. I’d love to see that 😁
@ZonalJump974 ай бұрын
Considering beating the devil out of it on the easel is what probably caused Bob to get cancer in the first place, maybe the brush beater rack is a better alternative. Not to mention Bob has recommeneded to use the beater rack before.

First, Faye is one of the best instructors I have ever met! I've learned so much being in the Happy Little Forest. She walks you step by step when painting and breaks down all the techniques in terms everyone can follow. We have a wonderful growing group. come on over and check us out but be warned, you won't want to leave! Happy Painting and God Bless.

Beautiful paintings faye and a great explanation on perspective! The video compilation in The Happy Little Forest is simply an awesome way to learn at one’s own pace in your own home! It’s also a great community to belong to. Stop by and take a look everyone!

I did and I don’t like it at all. I have been in this business for 20 years and know many people in the film and many that were around at the time that Bob was alive. I have many many reasons why I believe that the film is garbage.
