This could have been an excellent moving story, but there were so many irrelivernt characters who distracted from the main theme of what there was between the two of them which were a dreadful distraction. This may have been the younger character's only film appearance as we went on to be a barrister.

You know... when I first watched this movie loooong ago (during my teenage years), I didn't think much about it. I liked it, but that was it, nothing more. In those days films like "Beautiful Thing", "Latter Days", "Just a Question of Love", "Summer Storm", "No Night is Too Long", "Edge of Seventeen" and a bunch of others had a much greater impression on me. But for some reason they all kinda...faded away eventually (don't get me wrong, I still consider them all to be excellent films it's just emotionally I'm no longer as attached to them as I used to be). While at the same time I felt more and more drawn to "Get Real", kept rewatching its scenes to the extent I memorized some dialogues by heart. xD And it's not even a happy end movie, but I just like the characters and the acting and how they speak... it's just so... cute.:)
