For $4 you can get a radiator flush kit. Get 2. One for each heater hose. Now, an old clothes washer hose, into one, garden hose to the other. Turn hose on, hang washer hose over side. Run truck until it comes out clean. Shut off truck. Switch hoses. Do it again. Turn off truck. System flush for 8$. Using these kits, you can siphon it dry, and fill system with the same pump. When you're done, keep the washer hose in your toolbox along with the pump. Pump included, less than 20$ and 20 minutes now makes anything related to coolant that much easier, especially that heater core that may just cost you a windshield and a dashboard to replace. As for draining the bottom sludge out, I've done this with 70s brass radiators and they were fine. Modern plastic ones come clean as well. Just leave the hose on for awhile. Maybe put a cleaner in it overnight before if yours is really bad.

They should just make a T for this purpose. It's not that hard. Simple T of same diameter of the pipe with 2 larger diameter sleeves that slide over everything into place. What you did was simple too just not great overlap.

That is probably the best idea to have real serviceable bearings. Just swap out the sealed bearings for the some good non-sealed ones.

I have the same model, it died, I found this video, gathered the tools to take mine apart and I found the ground wire spade connector had became disconnected from the motor. It works now! Also: I didn't have a torx bit, a flat head was able to do the job. Hope this video helps others, thanks again!

Nice! Glad it worked on yours also. Thanks for the offer but I make these so that people can save some $$ or get a little more use before having to buy new tools/equipment . I did end up buying a new switch with a key for mine because the inner contacts were getting worn. Hopefully yours will last a while longer.

I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado 4.3 v6 and wanted to change my coolant there is still coolant inside the tank but I unscrew the cap off the tank put a drain pan under and unscrewed the screw from the radiator and no coolant drained but I looked back at the coolant tank and some coolant was gone what could this be?

I'm an almost 40 year old good ol' TN man and have changed a ton of radiators on different vehicles but never one on the 06 sierra i own now so its good to have a straight to the point video that i can view to get a quick idea of what all to remove to make it as easy as possible. Thanks for the awesome vid with no bs or fillers. Straight to the point like a g. Respect from Nashville.

Thank you so very much for taking the time to create and post this video! It was such a massive help in diagnosing the SAME EXACT issue in our washing machine (WTW5105HW). We've only had this product 16 months and of course it's now just a few months outside of it's warranty, similar to a bunch of other comments I see here. Highly frustrating and so disappointing of Whirlpool to have such unreliable components. But thanks to you we've got a working machine again (...for now at least!)
@harryshouse70124 ай бұрын
No problem, glad it helped. When I found the issue I did not know if it was a one-off problem or systemic. Judging by the comments it is a bigger problem. I am slightly disappointed considering these are not cheap to purchase. Luckily a fairly easy fix if you know what to look for though.

Had the same thing happen to mine. I had stupidly purchased an extended warranty from Lowe's. Wish I hadn't. They first thought it was the pump and then they replaced the control board. Ultimately, they declared it fixed when it wasn't after 4 visits from 2 different repair people and a couple of months without a working washer. This video may help me repair it myself so thanks!

Hands down goes right to the top of saved me the most time watching a you tube video!!!!!! I went right for the blue wire and it was the culprit. This HAS to be on their radar by now. I have to thank you so very much for posting this video. The exact same break in the wire to the drain pump occurred because of this extremely poor job of engineering. Why in the name of all that is holy would a teeny wire like dental floss be attached so tightly with no give to a machine that agitated and spins?!? I am surprised it lasted a year and 4 months!! My husband was able to bypass all your troubleshooting thanks to this post!! We are so thankful.

Cool tip to keep the heater knob turned to red max heat. Tip 2: switch off dec ool to avoid dexcool sludge problemthat fails rafiators and heater cores. Tip 3...Flush twice to get rid of old dex ool. 18 qt capacity so use 2.5 gallons concentratr gold coolant. Put all the 2.5 gal concentrate first. Then deionized (best) or distilled (ok) water remaining ~2 gallons. It will be less because of the Quart or 2 water that did not frain out if the heater core and block. This will give u 60% concentration giving the -40 degree F protection easily. No charts or math needed. Best concentrate coolant is the $12 prestone or $10 super tech at wallyworld 150,000 mile gold color coolant.

My Sierra is leaking coolant from the back of the motor I’m hoping it’s just running down the oil pan from the front and not leaking from the head. When you get a coolant leak always think the worst first. I sure hope mine is not the head gasket. Man that’s expensive
