This video is rubbish. It was over 10 minutes before Lizzie even began talking about the cutter. We learned all about the weather, her frozen shoulder and her incompetence with phone and camera. By the end of the video she had got no further than cutting a couple of strips.

Thankyou so much for a fantastic tutorial. I’m a complete newbie to sewing and with your great vid & instructions I’m ready to make this for my next project. It looks fabulous & not too complex for a novice like me. Thanks again. Liked & subscribed ❤

Found this video by mistake - I LOVE IT!! I love that you have ‘problems/mistakes’ too & make it o.k. by dealing with them calmly. I’m fairly new to sewing & thought that the difficulty with putting the ribbon in the channel was because I was, as my Mom would have said, “cack handed”. But no, it happens to very expert sewists too! I can stop beating myself up🤣🤣🤣 Making several gift bags this Christmas.x

I just love this pattern and your tutorial. I'd like to add a loop with a D ring but can figure out the placements. Anyone done this?
@LizzyCurtis7 күн бұрын
@@debbieschmick2458 I haven’t seen one done. My suggestion is to make one in scrap fabric, mark clearly where you’d like the loop and then unpick your purse, use that as your pattern and take note of where the loop marks are x

A small strip of iron-on interfacing under the turning slit, can help to close and stabilize it. I sometimes hand sew a narrow piece of lace across it to further protect it from wear and tear.

I only had 4 1/2” wide fabric but it turned out beautifully, but a bit taller than I wanted. I loved that I didn’t have to do much to stitching. Any idea what dimensions to use for 4 1/2 “ width? length? Depth of pocket? etc. I’d like it to be slightly larger than a credit card. I’m not very good at pattern making😬Your video was so easy to understand and demonstrated each step all the way to the end. Oh and love your voice!❤

@@fayetronsgard1673 why don’t you cut a strip of scrap fabric slightly reduced in length and fold as if you were making one. Test it out until your happy, that’s what I would do x
