There was an old infomercial with a lady who has a strawberry birthmark. The acrylic marker side reminds me of her before makeup & the alcohol side is after. Both are valid choices.

I know this is one of your older videos but I was glad to find it during a week I am researching different brand markers. I started off with one of the unnamed super cheap 168 set for less than 40 and it's been 4 years. It is time to look into a new set. I might still get a couple brands to swatch and compare but when I invest a larger amount of money I want to pick the brand that should make me feel like it does more than just color my drawings. Thanks for your hard work, even if you do enjoy drawing 🤗❤️👍🏽💯

Four years later and there are so many cheaper, good brush marker alternatives to even Ohuhu. Just bought a set of 121 markers with the same brush nib that Ohuhu uses, for €24 (they were a return and therefor half the price and they are still all nice and juicy). But even for normal price (€40) they are still a steal compared to Ohuhu.

They are both soo pretty. I couldn't choose either. It would be based on mood, which I used. There are times I want the painted look with no lines showing. Thanks so much for your time and efforts 🤗❤️👍🏽💯

I like both sides. I also prefer alcohol markers, but I want to continuing practicing with acrylic markers. Maybe I’ll start to like them more than alcohol markers! 😬 Thank you comparing both sets of markers! Great video! 💜💕💜

Like you, I like the "paint look" of the acrylic markers, but I like the over effect of the alcohol markers more for this kind of piece. As others have stated, they each have their own purpose so it's kind of hard to compare, but you did a great job. I love watching your videos. You always seem to have so much fun. Keep it up!

It's a matter of preference and intent for the piece. You can get similar effects witb either type of pen. Its interesting to see how the illustration turned out. I personally prefer alcohol markers on paper surfaces and use acrylic paint (and sometimes pen) on canvas.

I've never made a complete illustration using only paint markers, so I admit I'm a little biased.😅 Both sides look great, but I like the alcohol marker side a bit more.

this is a really interesting comparison! the alcohol markers seem to blend a lot easier but I love the pastel colours in the acrylics 🥰

I got the arrtx markers and was so disappointed :( two were already dry and by the time I used a certain color marker in two pieces it was already drying out

Maybe you’re using the wrong paper for alcohol markers. Different papers can absorb the alcohol markers differently, making the ink in your markers dry out quicker. For example, I use card-stock paper and Canson mixed media paper. When I use the cardstock with my alcohol markers, i’m perfectly fine. But with mix media paper I notice my markers dry out faster. Maybe try looking into different paper next time, hope this helps! (If you’re talking about acrylic markers however, try using mix media paper, not cardstock. That’s the best paper to use for acrylic markers.)

I haven't used arrtx markers yet, but I've heard that when some markers come dry, you can try contacting the company to try and get replacements.

Happy Birthday to you All and me! I got new colors and wanted to do a "All the Colors" challenge! I planned to draw background scenery and activity with maybe two people. Something in nature, maybe a camping scene so I can include man-made things as well as awesome colorful nature!
