Very many thanks for your brilliant tip from sunny Scotland. Had tried for nearly 1 hour using convential ratchet tool but 6 of them would just not budge. Your method all out in approx.10 mins.

Thank you SO much for this tip. I was thinking about trying a pair of pliers or a screwdriver, but my wife always says.. "darling, when you bring out a tool in the hope of forcing something, you just succeed in screwing it up...". She's (always) right, so I decided to find the answer on Google, and your video popped up first! No damage to the shoes, and 15 minutes later the new spikes were in.

Found your method worked best for me, with a slight modification. I did pop one out. With the others I wedged the screwdriver blade in the spike. Then tapped the screwdriver in a counter-clockwise direction. Came out easier than popping them, for me. Also, put a small drop of Dawn on each spike when I screwed them back in. Seemed to help. Thank you.

You might want to be careful telling someone how to go above 12s. Above 50vdc will conduct electricity through the human body equaling possible death. It only takes a few milliamps through the heart to stop it. Just sayin….

I've seen people steaming balsa to bend it 90 degrees to the grain (you're bending it along the grain here). Have you tried it?

Not sure that you know the definition of the word you used, but when l looked it up 'contra' is a video game introduced in February of 1978 and has NOTHING to do with your video. The word you SHOULD HAVE used in reference to the two propellers is "COUNTER-ROTATING" AND not CONTRA. IF YOU RESEARCH THE MILITARY AIRCRAFT you will find a lot of airplanes having counter-rotating propellers and even in today's world you will find this set up somewhat common. Bottom line, the word "contra" is not a contraction nor is it even close to being a contraction for "Counter-rotating" as used in the area of aviation propellers. My background, retired airline pilot, flight instructor airplanes, instrument instructor and multi engine instructor, air-frame and power plant mechanic and last but not least, aviation history buff. Just to let you know, you are not the only person that does not know what you are talking about. There is one more person l saw on KZbin having the same mentality and being uneducated as to what you are trying to talk about. Derogatory comments are not needed, keep them to yourself ! ! ! !
