I was really expecting to see Gojira for at least a second but maybe AFTER the Olympics in 2024. Then again, they won't make the list. There aren't many "new" rockstars these days. It's the same stuff we were listening to back in 2001. Slipknot has one and a half good albums, how are they this big? I am shocked Nightwish is so high. I had no idea. Also Luna Coil? Really? Never heard Within Temptation. Kudos to Pantera for always fighting your way back. What did they do in October of 2015 that caused them to spike? Half of them were probably dead by then. This was great but it also goes to showcase our sheeple behavior. People reach for what they are familiar with; something that doesn't take them too far out of their comfort zone and it's a shame. The kids parents these days will hand them Metallica and System of A Down every time. Put on some Immortal Bird, Indian, or Ulthar. Put on something different and challenging that not everyone may know about.

Serj's case is a bit more complicated because his parents are Armenian but he was born in Lebanon. The only member of the band who was born in Armenia is Shavo Odadjian.

Incredible how System of a Down (my favorite band) has maintained their popularity despite not dropping an album since 2005.

Floor is great along with Angela Gossow and Tatiana Shmayluk. But Tarja is the true metal queen in my eyes and ears. It's just so sad how she was treated by the guys in Nightwish especially Tuomas. In alternative and happier reality she would have stayed on for longer with many more beautiful Nightwish songs.

For a band that doesn't really produce any new album since close to 20 years ago, SOAD really did a good job for staying relevant in the industry. LOL One of my earliest heavy music top favorites is SOAD (no longer them), I see them as a unique band.

I couldn't care less of these statistics of popularity. Tarja Turunen and Angela Gossow always and will forever be number 1 in my list of top favourites female vocalist. Floor Jansen, Simone Simon and Alissa White Gluz love them too as well.

Floor saved Nightwish, in 2012 during the tour Anette left, if Floor wasn't there then, there would be no Nightwish now ( Tuomas has also said this in an interview), Now Nightwish is bigger than ever,🤘 and of course Tarja has meant a lot to the band and she can sing fantastic opera but there was also her limitation right there, Tuomas can now write anything without limitations and that pays off. That Nightwish fans of the Tarja Era have trouble with Floor is that those fans think Nightwish is music with only a dark opera voice like Tarja has....even after 19 years¯\_(ツ)_/¯
