@pants ofc they are. Well, Tenacious D isn't really a metal band, but the award was for their cover version of DIO:s Last in Line so that's definitely metal.

🤣 this is pretty sad. The majority went to the same 5 bands, most of them got recognised decades after they were at their most relevant and it only starts changing up in the last 5 or 10 years. The grammy's are shit.

Go through and count the number of categories for other genres - and there is one for metal. Enough said, grammys are a total joke!
