Brother that looks like so much fun. And your yellow monster is looking great. I think if you softened your rear shock a little bit it would help you come out of the corners better. Get some of that banshee weight to the rear for better grip. Just a thought! Love your videos brother!

@@brockoglesby8113 I appreciate the suggestion on the rear shock! I will take the advice and soften up next time I’m out. That whole track experience was kinda humbling, hitting a big corner on an open desert trail or big dune I can negotiate but the track-those big long sloped corners were tearing me up.

@@brockoglesby8113 exiting most of the turns on track were pretty tricky thinking about it. The dirt surface was so damn slippery. Alright soften rear let’s go haha

I mean does it really matter what Pipe ya got when u have a “ built banshee “ some of the 4 stroke quads that to go to the track have cams an are Also built .

@@a.boss.__09 it does matter a lot what pipe is on the quad. The power it makes and the way the banshee revs change pretty significantly switching from pipe to pipe believe it or not. Pipes I’m running in this video are drag pipes, power is on and on big or off. If I put on the 2-1 like I said, the power curve is way lower and doesn’t peak out anywhere near the shearer.

Serious question I do not know the answer to, no BS. How is the turning radius with those a arms? No big deal in the dunes, will they work in the trail? I guess my real question is the steering geometry similar to the stock ? Thanks

@@a3dam481 Fox float evol..no you can’t install on a stock banshee, they’re long travel

Also make sure you put the cable holder back in the carb the right way. If you put it in 180 degrees the other way, you can pull more air in from the top and that is why one pipe smokes less at idle.

Also check the carb holder (boot) for cracks under the bottom of the clamp. That old rubber shouldn't be good after all these years. A leak near the reed cage will do exactly what you are experiencing

@@YerzengaPerformance I appreciate the good comments 👍 The quad is running and idling just fine now but I’m still tinkering with it; mostly just continuing to refurbish what’s there. Buffed out the headlights recently and the look 100% better than they did in the video. Next time I’m out with it I’m gonna spray some soapy water around that intake area and make sure everything is nice and tight.

Replace the float valves.... Those old carbs are way past due for the original float valves to be replaced.

Dude you havent seen a Rusty Banshee yet. Come to the east coast of Canada if you wanna see rust. That bike looks awesome to me. Light surface rust is nothing. Also buy some JIS screwdrivers if you havent already.
