It's clear Daniel was in love with Betty. In my mind they're married with four kids. First born a boy, then a girl & twins, boy & a girl. Daniel is a stay home dad that runs a successful blogger site while Betty is the head of a successful magazine. They live in London.

I never liked the whole molly thing...although it was important for Daniels character growth I was just eager for him to be with betty and that got in the way.

I really wish they’d do a little “mini comeback” like a movie that at least shows where the characters are now in the series. It’ll somewhat help give the series a proper closure

I really like how Betty and Daniel fall in love with each other. I would not change that, but they should have follow more the original plot, at least, to make them stay together. In reality, it would be fucking dope if they followed all the plot of _I'm Betty, the Ugly One_ 1999. I keep imagining it.

Wanderlust Brazil I totally agree with you!! I watched the original and the Mexico version and I loved them both. I was a little disappointed with the ending to the USA version.

I am binge watching it too, for the 7th time!! And while watching it during quarantine, I realized it has been 10 years since the finale aired( 14th April). I was 18 when i saw the last episode and cried. Why cant they do a reboot??? Many other boring and less popular shows get rebooted, why cant ugly betty a finale that will do it justice?

How strict was the American version of the show to the Betty La Fea? Did they have anything in common?

I watched Betty La Fea and 3 other versions made in different countries. Variations in setting, culture and plot somewhat. Similarly, the US version didn't follow the storyline of the Colombian original. But what I liked about Ugly Betty is that Daniel realised his love for her first. In all other versions, Betty was the one who fell hard first. It still rankles that we didn't get to see how the relationship developed.

In the Dutch version, Lotte (is what she is called) falls for Vico (daniel), but he falls even harder for her. To the point where he can't get her out of his mind even when she does not want to be with him. What I did not like was that he was engaged and they were having an affair. This american version at least gave us a friendship and when they could be together they were single. Still wanted to see a romance though. Watching it again on star (disneyplus)😄

Oh how I miss them, I wish it was still going or atleast gave us them as a couple. Loved how he acted when she was planning on leaving he was so devastated inside you just knew & then him himself realizing why cuz he fell in love with her without realizing in. Who was she the one that told him her loved Betty? His mom? Can't remember. If it was I just love how she knew right away.

Irene Diaz Just finished rewatching Ugly Betty to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the final. It free on the ABC streaming app. I think it should have been called Awkward Betty. She was never ugly just Awkward until she learned to stand up, believe, and stay true to herself.

I think that she was considered ugly because society would have judged her physical appearance without getting to know her. It was more of a society is ugly, not so much Betty.
