Back in the day where people were modest but still proud. Nowadays you get a blow by boring blow of some nonentity and their life. Then their politics. Their disgust at you for not thinking along their views of the world! They make me sick, really!

Roll out a damn long piece of paper. People will assume it's your speech. Say "Buckle up people, we're going for a ride" which will reinforce their assumption and then after short pause say "Thank you" and leave.

Joe Pesci with still the best acceptance speech. ITS MY PRIVILEGE. An honour of recognition rather than doing it for the fame or money or adulation. And certainly not kissing Hollywoods ass.

This is way better than having to listen to a lecture on global warming just to see what actor won an award. 😂😂
@zhoelbejtaj75665 күн бұрын
Very intereresting , these were other times when speech in itself didn't had a major role in an actor's receiving an award and that's how should have still be even nowadays where everything is so commercialised for mediatic purposes .

The fastest winds I’ve ever experienced I think were on Mount Marcy in the Adirondacks, maybe 40-50mph winds, enough to hold you up but this is a whole other level. We’re summitting Mount Washington for the first time in a few weeks, weather permitting!

Please please don't try to imitate slam poets. Poetry is the most powerful when you gently make people feel, not when you force them to feel.
@sofxxxКүн бұрын
she's not forcing emotion into anybody. she's expressing herself. and she's not "imitating" slam poets. She is a slam poet and it was beautiful

like Roberto Benigni: just 2 word... it was simple emotion and disinterest in hiding it, the English instead taught the world that all this is inelegant.

As a middle schooler all the adults tell you to "be yourself." Or "be confidant!" Or "just ignore them!" It's not that easy, people will never stop judging you, will never stop abusing you, will never stop taunting you, will never stop throwing pencils at you, will never stop hating you, will never stop bullying you, will never stop cat calling you, will never just leave you alone, will never stop talking about that one embarrassing time you tripped in the cafeteria, you will never be good enough for them or anyone so should I really just be myself?
