So sad to see the inexcusable Dilapidations throughout the park. So many wonderful memories of mine swimming, swinging and playing during the summers and ice skating on the lake to Strauss waltzes in the winter…beautiful music From the Casino! How has such a tremendous asset been allowed to disintegrate into an abhorrent mess?

I remember that school. Past it a million times going to my grandmas house as a kid. Grew up on keyes Avenue off of union street. Went to Paige elementary school, central park middle school, and graduated from schenectady high school in 2007. I do miss schenectady ( moved to Colorado ten years ago ) but i have heard schenectady has changed, a lot of my friends say it turned into a 💩 hole. Is it true though because there was always bad areas in schenectady and good areas.

I used to get my work uniforms there , they would embroider the company name in 4 inch letters across the back of each shirt and jacket along with my name above the right hand shirt pocket . Uniforms were dark green with yellow lettering . Also sold top of the line work boots , I believe I bought a pair of Timberline boots that lasted 2 years !

Repent and trust in Jesus. we deserve Hell for our sins. For example lying, lusing, saying God's name as a cuss word and stealing our just some examples of sin which we can all admit to doing at least one of those. For our sin we deserve death and Hell, but there is a way out. Repent anf trust in Jesus and you will be saved. Repentence is turning from sin. So repent and trust in Jesus. He will save you from Hell, and instead give you eternal life in Heaven. John 3:16 Romans 3:23❤😊❤😊

February is Winter Carnival month in Lake George. The Village comes alive with a festive atmosphere. Road races on a frozen lake is the backdrop. Bonfires, ice carvings, cook offs, helicopter rides, dog contests, raffles, polar bear plunge, fireworks. We go every year.

Thank you so much for sharing. I remember going there as a tiny tot with my grandmother in the mid 1950s, before the progress that's now old being removed. The bunny was probably thinking I'll trade you a carrot for a towel....

Wow a "cemetery" tour and the only name we saw was Potter. These are nature walks not cemetery tours. Very disappointing!

Sad sight to see so many fallen headstones. It would be so helpful to know why you are focusing in on something. You show things so briefly, it is hard to tell. Lovely, wooded areas though. Please focus more on headstones and names on the stones (you are in a cemetery) or title these nature walks.

Yes, a bit of history would be nice. I now know that there is a lot of wilderness within the cemetery, there are actually 6 people buried there (only 6 headstones that I could read the names on), there seem to be either a lot of half stones or whole stones allowed to be half buried and sections of the cemetery are not as well maintained as I would expect them to be. I do a lot of Genealogy research for the Schenectady area and I was hoping that I would actually see some names that I recognize. Although a good video, it seems to be more of a nature walk than an actual tour through a part of a very historic cemetery.

Thank you for this video! I do a lot of Geanealogical research online for the Schenectady area and so many of the early ancestors are buried in Vale Cemetery. I would love to see it in person some day but this is a great second.

Poor music choice which seems to imply to me that the film is inferring ghostly happenings. There may be ghosts within the cemetery but just showing the Caretakers' House doesn't highlight ghosts. It is sad the current day Vale Cemetery is using the caretakers house as an office space, which they appear to have outgrown. I would love to be the caretaker there and live in that home. It still has good bones.

What a great video! I never realized that there was an aqueduct there or even what one really was until now. Imagine, the bridge I drive over used to be covered in water and boats went over it!

I lived in Schenectady for almost a year when the fire and demolition happened. When I was new to the city it was one of the buildings that had me go "oh, wow!". Sad that it is lost forever.
