Anstatt auf zuviel Leistung zu setzen, sollte auf ausreichende Reichweite und Bezahlbarkeit geachtet werden. AVATR's sind vielversprechend, besonders als Hybrid!

Japan being so stubborn about EV will bite them back. Chinese companies like BYD will soon dominate...

Part of me wonders if this would, plus Trump tariffs, still be a better deal than anything on the US market. Another part wonders how I could legally get around tariffs to get this car, and what my options for mechanics for routine service and repair would be in the States or Canada.

Japan makes very reliable little gas & hybrid cars. Letting their domestic brands be overwhelmed by less expensive Chinese imports in their own market would be bad optics
@albertteng11917 күн бұрын
Surprised, BYD didnt bring in its whole lineup. BYD started selling officially here in the phils in 2024. They brought in the entire lineup. And the best selling model is the sealion which has an SUV inspired design. It only cost as much as mid range toyota corolla. The cute seagull cost as much as the cheapest susuki model. Though both countries have the same problem with charging stations. Some gas stations has charging stations as well as shopping malls. But you can also charge them at home. At the current rate, BYD sales will outpace many ICE brands next year. Nissan are selling its Leaf here but its 60% more expensive than the most expensive BYDs

Charging points and the govt isn't really pushing for more support. Cause their own japanese brands don't even develop much so less incentive to develop better ev charging infeastructure

EV's are NOT the solution. They are nothing but another huge worldwide scam created by the corrupted globalist "elites". And people are so easy to fool.
@comet36110 күн бұрын
In Japan, only elder people brainwashed by affiliated MSM show interest in EV, especially those from China. Once you get to be educated from the web or SNS, you realize the current version of EV is far from perfection.

Whatever said, Japanese always support their own in whatever. Even living in other countries outside Japan they will look for things from Japan to buy. It's a tradition. Why buy from others when your own is better. 😊

Japanese will only drive EVs if the roads they r travelling on will automatically charge their charge up their car. Most of them live in flats and don't have the space for chargers.

Thanks for the video. Here where I live in the USA it's basically the same thing. EV's are not popular at all. Most people here seem to like SUVS and pickup trucks the most. The most popular SUVS are Japanese Brands.

Its amazing how so many people seem to hate mentioning the Nissan Leaf was the first mass produced EV. A hybrid vehicle is not an EV.

A hybrid is definitely the most practical, better than plain EV only.

Japan has the same 2035 EV sales only mandate as elsewhere in the world, will they really be doing this in 10 years? All governments are doing monkey see monkey do nevermind the reality on the ground. Maybe the idea that countries are independent of each other is a myth and there is really a one world government. At least there is some sort of pressure to conform with worldwide trends or it has to do with the supply chain, but in this case the supply chain isn't really there yet especially with infrastructure except maybe in China.

Japan makes the best cars in the world. Why would they buy inferior toy cars unless they playin a prank on somebody or need to make a barbecue 😂

EV cars are more of pain than a relive. Until the charging time is reduced to at least 5 minutes, they are useless. They are good for small cities and small islands.
@000ragnarokPK19 күн бұрын
Japanese are pragmatic. Who wants to spend hours charging, while every minute is money? Who wants to suffer from the prevalence of poor quality and safety of Chinese brands while local Japanese brands are the most reliable on earth? As an intelligent and well educated adult, you know how to choose.

People buy Versace or BMW because of design and status symbolism, not because there aren't better and cheaper products on the market. Nio is just another chinese car, as just another washing machine.

Here is what I’ve learned living in a major city in Japan: It’s rare to see an EV or an EV charging station in the city. I am sure there are some, but they are difficult to come by and difficult to spot. I would guess the reason they are not more common here is that they are very expensive to install in most homes. Not only that, but also the garages here are much smaller than those found overseas, which leaves very little room for storage, much less a charging station.

Lenovo/NIO battery swapping technology is the future, they're working to expand the usability of their battery swapping station technology to many EV brands Btw, New Jaguar has copied NIO design 😅 And Jaguar claimed they "copy nothing" 🤣

Nio needs to upgrade to NT 3.0. and go more premium route with the ET5. Better efficiency, more space inside and stuff like variable dampers for suspension would set it apart. It's a luxury feature that BMW has had for years and it is awesome.
