Tbh i love them but Eloise is a terrible friend to Cressida 😭 like people criticised her with Penelope, yeah she could be self-centred but she still really cared about Pen and had proper reasons to be mad at her. Meanwhile the way she doesn't care about Cressida being given away to an old man, and then the way she just discards her.. just cruel

The last two episodes had issues, not gonna lie 😅 But they way they wrapped it out makes me hopeful for Cressida fans that she might make her return 😌

@@saranemcova5448 Agreed, Penelope wanted to do Whistledown to help people without a voice, and I so wish she’d used it to help Cressida. Or even that Eloise had stood by her since she knew why Cressida needed the money. I think the showrunner said Cressida would be back so here’s hoping more storylines for her! 🤞

I am sure she will he back. Either it will have something to do with Benedict's love interest. Her mother's name is Araminta. (name of Sophie's stepmother). Several people have the theory that her father dies, her mother remarried, and brings her back. She will be Sophie's stepsister. In the book there is a part with Sophie's stepsister comes in and helps her, that could be Cressida redeeming herself. Also, if they go with the Sir Phillip storyline with Eloise, she could also help Eloise runaway. Who knows? Hopefully, Cressida will come back to get her redemption. With so much change up, who knows.

I was not sure about this friendship before the show started but I am actually slowly enjoying it. I wanted to know and see more of Cressida and I am LOVING seeing different sides of Eloise...the girl is actually growing and becoming aware herself more and more...I miss Pen and Eloise and every scene with her gives me heartbreak but I also love how the creators dealt with them...Pen going her way, trying to find an husband, growing and starting to be a woman, and decided on finding an husband...and Eloise discovering her more romantic and "feminine" sides, discovering new sides of Cressida, why she is how she is, and getting along with others as well..still remaining herself...

if the writers weren't cowards they would make them canon even if they aren't endgame 😭like there are so many clues and you know the bridgerton creators don't play about symbolism and hints. eloise "calling on" cressida (like there has to be a reason those words were specifically used), cressida's dad getting angry at her for spending time with eloise etc. also they made a point of showing cressida's dad pushing for her to get married, literally threatening to reduce her allowance if she doesn't. it's not cressida who wants to get married, it's her parents' insistence that makes her so obsessed with the idea. eloise has been queer coded from the beginning so this ship actually happening would be iconic. there's also supposed to be queer storylines so like...

This is part of why the whole We-must-adapt-the-couples-exactly-from-the-books angle doesn't really work. They have introduced love interests that are not in the books (e.g. Theo or Debling or Friedrich) and fleshed out other characters, who are only one dimensional in the books (Cressida or Sienna). Benedict had like 3+ love interests, one of which was M/M and then the whole Marina debacle. They might as well let Eloise and Cressida be a couple for two seasons, because they threw other love interests galore at the Bridgerton siblings (Anthony and Sienna, Colin and Marina, Eloise and Theo, Benedict and half of London). I also think that for a series that is so big on diversity, it's honestly weird that they would not give at least one of the Bridgerton's a same sex relationship..

Agreed with this, I think also the way they’ve written some of the characters makes it not make as much sense for them to end up with their canon love interest - specifically Eloise. I’d love for Bridgerton to give one of its leads a same sex relationship but I doubt it sadly 😭😭

In the books, Anthony was known to have a relationship with an opera singer. Julia Quinn was just able to gave them more screen time in the shows adaption because she was able to do more using a different medium. She did the same with Marina by introducing her earlier on so thag her death woukd make more sense and not seem to rushed. By making Colin a love interest of Marina, it gaves the Bridgertons a connection to the Cranes so Eloise's letters to Sir Phillip wouldn't appear random

Also a same sex relationship in the early 1800s was a death sentence if anyone found out. Its why Brimsley met his guy in secret and used their work as the perfect cover. Benedict's mentor, the artist also met his lover in secret while being married to a woman

@@jezeannwilliams1145 That's why it would have been much easier to write a same-sex relationship between two women. There are many stories of unmarried girls or "spinsters" who lived together (the term back then was "romantic friendship") which worked as a cover for them, despite not being able to marry. Plus, Bridgerton has been FAR from historically accurate and has created an ideal fantasy world in which BIPOC characters are of equal standing, though there is also racism. They could also have included a queer couple with a happy ending despite facing homophobia. The whole premise of the adaptation (NOT the books themselves) is a thought experiment of "what if" history was different and minorities were not as marginalised as they were in reality. It's a fantasy with no pretense to historical accuracy.

Im kinda expecting they will get the enemies to friends to lovers, like: Tho I dont think they have shown any romantic love for each other yet, so its basically a guess. But both of them seem to have barely any romantic feelings for men. Cressida is like trying to help herself getting married meanwhile Eloise is trying to stay far away from the ideia of she as married woman, losing the control of her own life. But, for me, is her not acknowledging that it is possible to be in a married in which she is not a victim. She got that pretty badass feminism, and she feels the only way of being free of the men's society is staying far away from men, but we all know it is not like that (and we all know that if she marry a woman, than she will not have this problem haha) I know there is a book, but they said that the story of Eloise will be changed. So it would be very romantic if, through the seasons, they construct this narrative. It would be very unespected and kind of a banger.

It's interesting to see how Cressinda's clothes are the most "different" this season, because they are more striking than hers in the past, showing a different side of the character, the flowers and petals when she is with Eloise and the more performative clothes when they're at the dance and everything, showing so many sides of the same person

Honestly, this Cressida is much better than the one in the book, which is just bad. Look how she develops with Eloise's friendship and there's a scene where Eloise has gold details on her dress (a color that was used by Pen and that Cressida also frequently wears)

what i love when it comes to clothing is that they've literally started dressing in tune with each other. Their clothes often mirror in colors or design in terms of "figures"(yes like the flowers as you well said)upon them; and Cressida suddenly has a thing for bows!

The fact that this is the only version where they don't end up together breaks me. LIKE WHY DID THE WRITERS SEPARATE THEM? they were perfect and she made him a better person! They could have put Fabian with joy or any other. in the other versions it was always Mara and only Mara for him, and Mara left Mick for Jerome because Jerome made her feel like the coolest girl in the world while Mick became a horrible boyfriend in season 2 (he was never a good boyfriend since season 1 season but in season 2 it got worse) and jerome was there for her, I LOVE Jerome's QUOTES to her in the other versions "I WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR HER" "My heart only beats for you" "You are an incredible girl, "I think you deserve a much better boyfriend than him(Mick)" 😭 "You're the only girl for me" "I love you" "I will always protect you" 😔🥺 In the other versions, Mara is also the chosen one and this makes her a target for villains, but Jerome is always there for her. I also like the way they are developed, but because in this version the actor left and barely appeared in the 2nd season, I couldn't put them in, but basically Mick makes Mara feel insecure, this can be seen since the 1st season when Mara changes her tyour look to look cool for him, and jerome makes her comfortable and makes her feel like the most incredible girl in the world Mara kind of hates herself at a certain point but jerome makes her love herself and that's so beautiful, they are soulmates

I love the story of Beauty and the Beast ever since I was a young kid. Beauty and the Beast is my second Disney film alongside Snow White, Pinocchio, Peter Pan, and the Hunchback of Notre Dame. I liked the 2014 Beauty and the Beast but I didn't like the relationship between Belle and the Beast, the Disney film did a better job at Belle and the Beast's relationship. This is a much better live action version of Beauty and the Beast in my opinion.
