I love how you did this one. What happened to your Prinz Eugen video? I was referencing that one for my own model of her.

In the late 80s, kids in school in Texas, we collected soda cans to raise money to do one of the many restores on the USS Texas. She needed a lot of work during that time and they did everything to raise money for her.

Here’s a hint for soldering. Apply the iron to the connector first then press the solder against the connector. The solder will draw toward the heat.

if you have ever been on a ship you will see the decks are not brown, they weather down to a grey colour.

@@Drydockinscale Thx i just watched now the Zara and now im starting watching the bismark… ure superb im starting now to do modeling... my dream is to have the 1/350 Roma... many times I get scared and tell myself that I won't be able to do it, but I want to do it anyway... do you have any good advice for those who are starting now (my intention and mostly tank, but Roma is something I would like to do as I am so attached to it because I am Italian)

You're a fine craftsman when it comes to building models, but I'm unsubscribing because for every video I've seen, I've had to crank up the audio to BARELY hear you and then had to endure the blast of sound from the regular world when those videos end. Don't you listen to your own stuff?

What size of the masking tape did you use to create waterline?
@Peter-vl9fz
@Peter-vl9fz 6 ай бұрын
Excellent weathering skills. I dont understand why the enamal thinner doesnt interact with the underlying paint, when you are smearing the little dots of paint for weathering on the hull.
@paulburgess3088
@paulburgess3088 2 ай бұрын
Because the underlying paints are coated with an acrylic clear coat. Enamel thinners (turpentine) does not react with the acrylic clear.

I grew up near the USS Texas. I've always thought it a most beautiful ship. The only remaining survivor of two world wars. Back in junior high band, we played ceremonies on the deck of the ship for Texas Independence Day.
