The driver has a really strange technique. Specifically with regards to positioning of hands. Constant repositioning. Unwrapping the thumbs from the wheel at times. Seems to work for the driver but makes me nervous to watch and never seen it before. Perhaps a Caterham driver can shed some light on this?

I'm looking at the Macan as my next EV in 18 months time, currently have an Audi Q8 Etron Vorsprung and before that I had a Etron 55 First Edition. My spec will probably be a 4 or 4S with a very different spec to yours lol. It's nice to have the ability to spec the 'same" car and have so many different possibilities and looks. The Audi Q6 looks a bit odd to me, tall and narrow and I'm not so keen. Great video.

Good choice! It’s a mega car. And thank you - hope this video has helped with your decision making somewhat. My better half loves my Macan, so rather than let her drive mine all the time… she’s gone and ordered herself one 🤣🤣… A 4S in frozen blue with off road kit, which should arrive end of March-25.

Please elaborate on your comment - I’d love to know your reasoning. “turbo” is related to the spec, along with the more powerful rear motor over the 2, 4 and 4S variants.

@ It’s a sub-optimal technology to what we already have, only far more expensive but with less utility, as you’ll no doubt find out. Also, anyone thinking an EV is somehow magically environmentally friendly knows nothing about what it takes to manufacture them. If it suits your personal use case and you’re happy to pay a premium for an electric toy that is more appliance than car then fine. That is your choice and privilege, just as ICE cars should also be a choice for others, which is being eroded. Most other people live in the real world where these indulgent EV commodities simply don’t work and are not wanted. Consumers want proper workable transport solutions, or cars, that are the best and affordable choice for them. I know what turbo means in this context thanks, basically it’s Porsche’s way of extracting more money from hapless customers. It’s called taking the p1ss

I've been driving EV's for over 8 years problem free, so I'm unsure of the utility restraints you allude to? ICE cars are only being eroded by government mandates and manufacturers / customer demand, so one can only embrace the present moment. This Porsche Macan EV is not a weekend toy, this is my daily. I have a weekend ICE toy in the garage (check out my other videos). There's now a 15-18 month waiting list for a build to order Macan EV "Turbo".

@ “Embrace the moment” what complete BS. It is market manipulation to sell a product most people can’t use or don’t want. You may not understand but as I said, an EV may work for your personal use case. Most others may not have ‘your’ use case and may not want to embrace government mandates and restrictions. Are you so arrogant and up it that you believe the entire country should be the same as you? EVs are being forced upon us and they simply don’t work for many people, are you suggesting they are somehow to blame for this and don’t deserve to have choice when spending their money ? Interesting how you promote EVs to display your virtue signal and superiority yet have a proper ICE car for the weekend when you want to actually enjoy driving, rather than just being transported in a boring conveyance. Personally I’ll use my fun car as a daily and enjoy every single drive because I don’t want to be like YOU and you can stick ‘your moment’ thank you very much.

Everyone has a choice, just like YOU. Perhaps take a test drive in Macan EV - you may find it's more interesting than other EV's, actually drives like a Porsche, is nimble, fast, and an enjoyable car to drive, every day... When I feel the need to atomise some fossils - I'll use my weekend toy to do that, with great pleasure. And I'm afraid to tell you that there is nothing other than the "present moment".

Hilariously the worst thing about this car is that everyone loves it so it doesnt depreicate. (Worst from a buyers POV at least). I remember in high school looking at how much the F360 abd F430 depreciated and expected the same from the 458!

That lap was fast, insanely good and unbelievable! What a car! The R500 is undeniably good, but, when it comes to caterham's, I'd still choose a normal caterham because you can have just as much fun in a normal caterham and also, it would be a little bit more usable. My favourite model of Caterham is the 160.

Very well done sir, looks very neat and tidy, also pretty damp fast, most of the cars I work with will lap Cadwell in around 1:50, amazing just how far the 7s have come in performance since the S2 lotus in the late 60s. Only thing I noticed was the amount of understeer around the place, I reckon there's nearly another second there if you can sort out that understeer, get the car sliding in the tight stuff and get it balanced through the faster corners.

Thanks - yeah the car wasn’t setup, so had massive understeer… I had it professionally setup and it was much improved…. I’ve since sold the R500 and raced Caterhams for three years in the official Caterham motorsport championship

I am a 458 fanboy, have a poster of it in my room, and it's my dream car. All this said, I would rate the LaFerrari slightly higher, because it just looks insane and it has the V12.

Think the issue simply is that you're diving for sharks. Therefore, when you see one, you don't let it know you're not to be messed with, instead you move away, makes sounds, and let it choose who to get near to. Sharks, especially ones such as this, need to know you're serious, i.e. carry a stick, and prod it quite hard if it gets too close, nothing with teeth like that should be getting in your personal zone, or it can simply decide what part to remove, and there's nothing you can do about it, and you may die.

Yes! Often the visibility can be much worse - we had some good days! But every dive is different, so some days could be better or worse vis. Thanks for watching 👀 👌🏼

So, I am still somewhat of a new diver. Got like around twenty dives under my belt. Would I be ready to dive with sharks? Are people not afraid of seeing their first one? I know they get really bad press but i can not imagine being surrounded by them.

In short, yes! you are ready! Choose a reputable guide / company, that don't feed them - and you'll have an awesome experience. The first shark you see will be an unforgettable experience (I definitely remember the first shark I saw) and will certainly get the heart pumping, but there's really nothing to worry about - they are more scared of you, than you are of them (great whites aside!).
