That beer looks delicious! What do you think about just making the base beer and mixing in the juice at serving? That way you can play around with different juices. Maybe you lose something if you don’t have it all carbed up together?… I don’t know, just a thought. Great video 🍻
@WreckedBrewery4 ай бұрын
That's not a bad thought. Schofferhofer makes other fruited hefe's too and I'd like to eventually do the same thing. The reason I did it this way was to be able to package a bunch of it. My main concern now is to see if my stabilization procedure worked. I plan to package up a few cans, leave them out on the counter and see if it ferments the juice/sugar. It shouldn't. But I want to be sure. If this whole process works, I will definitely toy with other juices. Thank you for that suggestion! Cheers!

Nice update! I was shocked to hear my name unexpectedly, lol! Glad you enjoyed the beer! Counterweight is one of the larger breweries in CT, but not too big. I think they do a pretty good job with most of their lagers too. And I love canning starter wort. I've had jars on my shelf for may years...

I have been thinking of doing something similar for my starters by utilizing leftovers from my brew day. I mean, it's both fresh and free right !
@WreckedBrewery5 ай бұрын
@graeme02 I may do the same to combine processes. Making the wort separate isn't a big deal but it is a separate day. My only concern would be having hops in the wort. I thought about sneaking a little from the mash but then would have to boil it. I guess I could take off the top of the boil before adding hops.
