I dont understand why I would want the wifi on. If I load my books onto the Kobo why not just leave it off while reading and only turn it on if needed and save battery life? I'm looking for a simple to use and low maintenance e-reader.

What is also distracting is the "PocketBook"-brand-name at the bottom of the reader. I don't understand why this must be this visible that it pops into your eye.

I do love my libra 2, but dont use the buttons as they annoy me.

I got the Kobo Clara BW and I love it. It is the only ereader that I have been able to read on. My kindle always triggered migraines for me for some reason but my Kobo Clara BW doesn’t. It’s the only one that has worked for me.

I wonder why the ebook-reader-manufacturers now only start producing color-ink-readers. Most people read novels - and for this the pure BW-readers are much better. I will never buy a color-ink-reader aslong these are worse than the BW-models for reading novels. Who needs color should use a tablet.

I'm still using a Sony prs t1 lost some features over the years but as just a book it's still very strong. Been thinking about this or a bigme 751c and get a drawing tablet that I could use for d&d and an ereader in one.

Amazon filed for two FCC licenses for two kindles just a few fays ago.

The current Kindle Paperwhite 2021 is nearly perfect. An upgrade will be for sure a new color-screen and that's a pity. I would appreciate a Kindle Paperwhite same as the current with page-turn-buttons. That's it. Who needs color? The most people are reading novels on their ebooks, and a pure black-and-white-panel is better than the new color-screens when you don't need color. I don't understand why the manufacturers (Tolino, Kobo, PocketBook) are replacing their ebook-readers with color screens. In near future you'll not have any choice and can only choose for color-screen.

I literally just purchased a kindle PW and have had it for 10days so far, so I’m still in the 30 day return window, do yall think I should keep it and take the chance that a new kindle will be released in less then a month? Or should I return it and wait? I wouldn’t mind a coler screen, which is just about the only upgrade that I can think about🤷‍♂️ kindle paperwhite is already water resistant and has warm light plus the battery life is already amazing, I’d just be holding out for the coler and maybe page turn buttons

You have opened my eyes on this subject, I have have something like but didn't think it was a actual problem, I m now rethinking my position on patronizing Amazon as fae as ebooks are concerned, I also wouldn't want to see independent book stores dissappear, we need independent sources of thinking & views away from biased or slanted ideas. I have a suggestion for a kindle/e-reader video topic. I often ponder the length of books on my kindle and how it would compare to it's "real life" compatriot. Since books have all different font size and e-readers have a range of font size, wouldn't word count be a good measure instead of pages or % of book? Why isn't word count an option on the screen (I only have experience with kindles). I feel rather bewildered when trying to figure out if I'm reading a lot or less than normal just by how many books. Is there a "screen time" feature on kindle? etc.

I hold my oasis with a pop socket and it would be ok if the kindle didn’t have such a sharp corner. It starts to hurt my hand. I would find it so much more comfortable to hold if the corners at the bottom were quite rounded. I know that oasis kindles are supposedly more ergonomic, but I don’t find it to be very comfortable.

Kobo has with 4.1x and higher Firmware a Customizing screensaver where you put custom picture in a folder. Book Formats are no Problems! You can covert them Since over 10 years. You find a book Not in the kobo store? Them search on other store or transfer the book from kindle store to the kobo. Your reasons for kindle are a stupid thing because there is everytime a very easy way around

Thanks for the video. I have a 7th generation Paperwhite. It hasn't noticeable lag every time I want it to do something. So yes, it's completely functional as a reading device, but OTOH it's kind of unpleasant to use. I was going to buy a more recent model and am holding off in the hope that a new version will be available before the holidays.

Dear Amazon, Please make a new Kindle Oasis with an 8" display, ink color, and three (or more) color options on the back: Silver, Gold, and Rose Gold. I want mine to be rose gold, hehe.

I would like a slightly larger screen so reading manga on it would be a bit more enjoyable. Just a tad too small, as some of the text bubbles can be hard to read. Honestly just adding an extra 1/2 inch would probably do the trick.

Yes a scribe mini is what I want . The oasis was the best kindle and I wish they would upgrade it. We need a premium metal kindle. A colour kindle will not cut it against an Ipad mini.
