The Python has always been a great and iconic pistol. I remember my dad and I shooting pythons together in the 1980s when I was 13. He had bought me one for my 13th birthday because I was already a biathlon shooter, a high powered rifle hunter and a skeet shooter. He refused to allow me to shoot pistols because he wanted my hands to develop more before I did. He was afraid I would develop arthritis. He bought me a 4 inch for my 13th. 2 years later he bought me an Anaconda. I also had a 44spl S&W a few years later for hunting. By the time I graduated high school I had 12 firearms and joined the military. I had to leave them at home. I kept buying and sent them home. By the time i came home from desert storm, I had 20+ firearms. Today, I just bought the Colt Python combat 3in, a 6in and a 8in. I plan on adding a newer Anaconda next in a shorter barrel.

It's a shame you didnt show removing the muzzle brake and installing a suppressor, that would've been amazing. Either way, very informative video. Your review brought back some hope to my expensive purchase. Thank you so much for mentioning the jam nut behind the muzzle brake. I dont have much experience and was unaware of this. Now I'll be able to add my new suppressor. Thanks again! -DM

Is that a gun in his hand or a fricking baton ? Lead by example. I was a safety coordinator for Kroger manufacturing and the worst violators were the senior workers. The ones that had lots of experience. Without realizing it they had bad habits ingrained into them. They would pass on these bad habits to new hires and with no one to “calibrate “ their behaviors is setting up conditions for injury. So these old gun experts are some of the worse offenders. They just dodged the bullet literally and figuratively. This is not just my opinion but from critical safety training from BST Behavioral Science Technology Inc. in Ojai, Ca. They do safety train at a corporate level around the world. From training over the last hundred years in the military to what Yeager was teaching there’s always the latest thing to sell.

You shouldn't be dropping mags on the ground. Dirty mags then get grit into places in your firearm that can cause failure to fire or extract. This is not a situation you want to be in if that firearm is used for self defense. Use a drop pouch or cargo pocket instead of the ground.
