To think the best in the world do over 120... 5 days of running

I'm gonna do some of these in a few years. I'm gonna get back into running after I'm done U18 rugby. My XC background should make it easier. Gonna shoot for 24 hours my first race. Maybe I'll run it summer 2027

Eating and drinking all those carbs. Such a bad idea. Those carbs are holding you back. Ketosis is king.

Faking positivity to yourself works in pretty much any aspect of running, be it fast or slow. When I’m doing my weekly Parkrun, I always encourage all the people I’m passing on the way back on our out and back course. It just makes me feel good doing that. Endorphins are released and it helps me stave off some of the hurt of a max effort run.

I am just picturing someone running for 6 days, like the Moab 240. The uncertainty is a huge factor. Could be a day and a half to win. Could be 5 days. That is rough.
