How is the Giken?
@damiondjdanejackson45205 ай бұрын
It is a great addition to the car. Very quiet and devoid of all the clunks and grinds other LSDs usually produce. Under full Load the car launches straight as an arrow. Fully recommend it for daily/street usage.

Questions my friend how you control the fuel pressure that going to the injectors if you connected the fuel pressure regulator after the injectors you can adjust the pressure if connected between the pump and injectors i dont sure about this i just wondering thank you
@damiondjdanejackson45205 ай бұрын
Hey! This is a great question. The FPR is connected after the fuel rail so that all fuel going to the injectors and rail is constant. Once the PFR pressurizes the system after it leaves the rail, it pushed back into the tank which in turn adds the pressure to the new fuel gong to the rail/injectors. Hope this makes sense and answers your question.

@@Morm1175 I have also a 300ZX (Z31) and I still don't know why this model has the fuel pressure regulator BEFORE injectors, I made this question to many other mechanics and I still don't have any answer to this.

Hello Damion, Thank you for your video. One note; Don't worry too much about the preload. There is a lot of nonsense being told on the internet about spring preloading. The preload is only to ensure that the spring does not come loose from its seat during suspension drop (and thus make those cluncky noises). Other than that, it doesn't do anything at all! Almost all auto coilovers have linear springs. A few mm more or less preload is not important. As soon as the weight of the car comes on the coilovers, the preload is cancelled out by the weight of the car. Just make sure there is enough tension on the spring to keep it in place, like you said around 7 or a little more (stiff spring/soft spring), and you are ok. Your cousin is a lucky guy having you to help him out! 👍

Try searching for the other Toyota and Lexus cars with compatible LSDs. Those are easier to find and cheaper than the actual JZA-80 ones

They’re hard to find because it a discontinued part. A complete LSD is very expensive whenever they do pop up for sale.
