He was one of the players that made his 4 championship teams one of the greatest or arguably the greatest teams ever .

I remember in 2013, when we lost. I was in tears because it was supposed to happen you know. And then when they won in 2014, I was in tears bc it was a redemption so to speak. I think the whole city hurt that year, and after they won celebrated for months lol. It was really cool to see being there as a “San Antonian”

Was a huge Spurs/NBA fan until the NBA went "woke" and Pops lost his mind! Had been watching since the late 60's as a kid. Saw Cousey/Havilcek/Bird etc play in The Garden. Watched Timmy & the Spurs when they came to PDX while I still lived there. It's a shame what has happened to the NBA, to sports in general, robbing we fans of the sports experience, replacing it with politics/agendas. With that being said, I respected Leonard but still feel that Manu should have been the 2014 Finals MVP. The man earned it across his career and during that Finals run.

Coming from being a bulls fan from Chicago l felt the identical high that I did from the third Chicago bulls championship and this was the year that they had about nine different countries represented. That year this was an incredible quorum of NBA players. I am now proud to be a citizen of San Antonio as of last year and hopefully I'm here in time not this year but hopefully next year get to be here for the start of another championship with the incredibly talented French prodigy Victor Wemby and I know have to witness this young man which has broken a few records already for a 19 year old . The Spurs have been losing as of late but he is developing just like the second year rookie chet holmgren in all respect that young man has developed very nice. Go san Antonio Spurs........I have to get used to saying that 🎉😂🎉😊

Hi! I want to pull that quote, "Are the habits that you have today on par with the dreams that you have for tomorrow?" to share with some middle school kids I mentor. Who is narrating this video? I want to give credit where credit is due! Thanks :)

What's amazing (and sad) about Coach Van Gundy's observations is that the problem in the U.S. has gotten worse since he gave this advice. Many adults, especially in smaller communities where the pool of players is smaller, are still taking all of the top 2nd graders, putting them on the same team, crushing everyone else in local rec leagues, and then wondering why these kids struggle in high school. These are the adults who sit in the stands, watching their kids' high school Varsity teams lose but say to everyone around them, "I don't know why this coach is losing. When I had these kids in elementary school, we won all our games by 50. Nobody could break our zone trap." Perhaps if these same adults would struggle and *gasp* risk losing some games by teaching man-to-man defense and positionless offense instead of prioritizing winning the elementary league championship, U.S.A. Basketball wouldn't struggle on the international stage. The fact that the U.S. 3x3 Men failed to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics is a sign that the U.S. has the wrong priorities at the youth level.

This message is absolutely true, you might not be the most athletic, tallest, strongest, or most talented player but you will get far in this sport if you're willing to push past your comfort zone and never quit when adversity hits, always remember that it's not where you start it's where you finish that matters
