I totally understand, I'm 30 and I sleep with a GUND brand white/beige bear. I just gave her a bath and brushed her yesterday, she looks so much cleaner. Her name is Mitzi. 😊 For future reference though, especially with teddy bears that old, you might want to find the seam on her back or in the bottom, cut it open, unstuff the bear, then soak it in lukewarm soapy water. Completely submerge it and squeeze in several spots. When the water gets yucky, drain and refill and continue until the water is clean. Then let the bear air dry, and restuff it with newer and fluffier/softer stuffing. Sew up the cut once you've stuffed it, then give it a good brushing. It's a bit of a process, but the bear will be cleaner than you can remember ever seeing it before!

I have had a stuffed dog for almost 14 years now, and I've taken him outside my house only a couple times, and been in the washer only once and restuffed only once. Because of that it still looks very clean, despite it starting to look a little flat again. Should I get it restuffed again if I have to?

I wash my small to medium size stuff animals in a bucket of soapy water. To rinse them, I fill the bucket with cold water and put them in it. I squeeze the rinse water out of them and roll them in a towel to dry them. I put the larger stuff animals in a wash machine with my clothes and wash them in cool water. I do not put them in a dryer. I put them on my bed and let them air dry. I sleep with my stuff animals so I want them to be clean. I wash them every 3-4 weeks.

Literally I have a teddy bear that I’ve had all my life and when I was little it was bigger then me and I didn’t really like the teddy bear but then I was in the mall and I dropped it there and I was crying because I lost it but my mom helped me find it and that’s when I started liking her and I treated her like my baby and I also couldn’t sleep with out her or else I’d get nightmares and to this day I still have her and sleep with her every night and I love her and I will always take good care of her. Edit: I have more to say, so I would never like do this to her because at first she was like brand new and pink my teddy bear was, and now she is a weird pink and I love it she isn’t fluffy anymore she’s a bit saggy and I know this is weird but over the years she like got so dirty and she started to smell and people think she smelled kinda gross but I liked the smell and it just is my fav smell 😂 and there’s so much more about her like she used to have this ribbon and it was so holy and old lol but I idk where it went :((( but yeah there’s more about my teddy bear but I’m just to lazy to type more anyways thanks for reading bye!

Okay you can get the inside wet and you should at this point for sure! Fill a sink with hot water and a gentle laundry detergent (im a big fan of method, beach saga smells amazing), and some oxy clean. Let it soak for a few hours, drain the water and repeat until the water is clear then rinse several times, gently squeeze the water through until there's no soap for several minutes and a good (gentle) squeeze. You can put it in the dryer on air dry for 30 minutes, then remove for 30, back in on air dry for another 30 repeat until fully dry 😊

Had my Teddy since I was in an incubator, thing is older than I am. I'm 24 in a month and dug him out of some boxes today after I saw something on the news about old teddies, god I missed him.

Ive had my beanie buddy prayer bear since I was 4 and I'm 23 now. There has not been a single night that I've slept without him. It's nasty but he hasn't been washed in almost 20 yrs and I don't plan on washing him anytime soon lol. I dunno I kind of like him crusty and loved on HAHA
