I honestly wouldn't consider a single card shown on video to be a scarce/high demand card. All the cards shown will decrease in value over time; so yes, for this type of collection, you gotta be a "true collector."

I see your points and here’s what I would like to say. 1. Of course things happen like this to other TCG’s but not like yugioh. Just look at Pokemon, modern does well and cards that are established in the market hold their respected value and don’t get reprinted in other sets. Magic modern is doing good as well with established serialized cards and with things like the reserved list buyers can choose to buy cards out of that pool or buy modern which has chances for reprints and price drops but players and collectors have options. Yugioh does not have that option. It’s a players only game. And for a card game to thrive it needs support from both Collectors, players, and investors. 2. I see your point on real scarcity and rareness and I agree to an extent. Of course buying something like a prize card or OCG tournament cards are very rare and have true scarcity for example but again pointing back to Pokemon, while Pokemon has many rare prize cards etc. Pokemon has lots of rare and scarce cards in regular booster boxes. Yugioh doesn’t have this scarcity or rare factor because of massive reprints of the same art and similar rarities. Pokemon protects their cards identity and they almost never reprint the same art of a card in other set. One piece, has had crazy rare cards and expensive cards for collectors and players still have access to cheaper cards in lower rarities. Not everyone cares about prize cards. In Yugioh it’s either buy a prize card or nothing. Yet in Pokemon you can buy a prize card, an un reprinted booster box, or regular set chases that still hold value. 3. I think you are misunderstand the purpose of the binder and my collection. I never showed my binder claiming everything is high end. I also don’t consider my self To be a high end collector cause that would mean I would only buy a certain pool of cards that I don’t even like. You are right, there are lots of worthless card in the binder. I just think they are cool. If I were to collect only “high end” I would have at max 2 pages of cards. The topics discussed have no correlation to my collection or thinking all my cards and items across the board would be more valuable if konami changed. 4. I agree and it has happened that lots of cards I collected have dropped in price and I even stated some in the video. What you are missing is the “what if situation”. Imagine if like Pokémon, cyber end dragon came out in crv and didn’t get reprinted the card would likely have a crazy price. This same concept and points I was making in this video can be reflected in air neos. No heavy reprints/reprint at all, holds arguably the strongest value across all ultimate rares. Regardless of potential copy right issue if other cards followed this Yugioh would be a different beast.

@@versaacollectables I agree with some of these points but ultimately I don't think you truly see what these companies are employing in the grand scheme of things. Pokemon, Magic, Yugioh are all mass produced. Whether there are reprints or not, all modern set cards for the most part are massed produced. Serialized cards employ mass produced scarcity (no true organic collectibility). Serialized cards will not stand the test of time. Modern set cards will not stand the test of time. The Yugioh cards you have will NOT stand the test of time and I know you realize that. Pokemon, Magic, Yugioh all in the same boat just different time frames. There are Pokemon channels complaining about the "Pokemon market" just like Yugioh. There are magic channels complaining about the decline of modern sets. The only cards that may or have a chance to stand the test of time are cards that employ TRUE RARITY (cards at least lower than 100 copies, but realistically less than 60-50) AND ORGANIC COLLECTIBILITY. There are those for Yugioh, Pokemon and Magic.

@@macmillerrr4742 that is why I collect for the fun of it.. i dont expect any profit nor do I care about it... its a fun hobby nothing else... al this talk about investing, reselling, making profits etc makes me sick, just ruins the fun of a hobby

Exactly the same man. Waxing isn’t damage to me so if it’s just a normal flaw in the set and the rest of the card is good it’s a good copy.

As far as I have seen no. I actually prefer Konami sleeves over any other sleeves besides some exceptions. Have never had any cards damaged in them.
