Absolutely beautiful ! But, unless you're a collector, why not use it as a daily driver as well as showing all the new Jeepers that Jeeping is much more than installing all the high dollar stuff the KZbin influencers push, angry eyes, a children's bath toys swimming on the dashboard. Yes it's outstanding, but why own something you're not going to use ?

I have a Black '76 Malibu that I own now. It had the stock 305 engine in it, but it now has a 1994 TBI 454 with the first gen electronic overdrive transmission (electronic 700R4) It's a one wheel wonder and the old 305 could never break the tires loose, but the 454 does now with ease. I've had both tires light up at one point with the 454, but mostly just a one wheel spin for now.

Is it obnoxious and does it cause ear pain? lol. I have a 53 m38a1 with a 350 sbc. Shorty headers without exhaust yet. I was going to put spintec 6000s on it but I’m rethinking piping it to the back instead. Open headers fire up and rev made me question my life on the streets and highway 👂🎧 Please let me know your thoughts as it’s in the shop getting finalized , thanks 🤙🏼

Short answer...its obnoxious. Exhaust noise can certainly be affected by the engine build compression etc but for daily riding around its a bit much. I would recommend something milder run out the back next time around. Thanks for the comment!

Too bad your not out here in the Southwest and West, We have a Classic Racecar class called "Smoggers" which are 73-79 full/ compact American cars, basically what was called "Bombers" in the 80's and 90's but it's on paved tracks instead of dirt, They run on mostly the smaller tracks like Lake Havasu and Tucson raceways but they run on the Vegas, Phoenix and Pamona tracks too, I believe they run on the road courses in Albuquerque, Reno and Henderson

What a score! I have the same top but it's pretty rusty. It's a witco top, at least they were labeling it as such by the time mine came along. Still have the witco stickers on mine.

Those are Hedman fenderwell headers, ceramic coated. They do not have the imo problematic ball flange either which is nice

You guys are brave. I would of pulled the pickup side of the fuel pump and ran another rubber line to a gallon container of fresh gas. The engine has good oil pressure. And not a lot of smoke. Might be alright. The car looks very intact. Should be a nice restoration. Your car and your taste for sure. But I would lose the bumper guards and go for a cleaner look. Good luck with this project and thank you for letting us look over your shoulder.

The buick was 252, the amx 25#, the fox body 255, Malibu was 305, black caprice was 336, the gto 365 ish, and the camaro was 386 by the time is was all done. Next time I'll do a little better video! Thanks for watching

... Yup, sounds great with that exhaust set up ... Looks great with what I believe is a Mayer's steel top and doors, with roll up windows ... Same thing I've got on my '65 Willy's CJ5 ... Good, and rare, to to another Jeep with this steel top ... Enjoy, and best regards 🇺🇸
