You should read the bible if you want a lesson in true immorality. That god is pure narcissistic evil. Lucky for us, it's all stories about mythical creatures that we should take as a warning about what not to do.
@trumpbellend6717Ай бұрын
Let me give you a scenario to demonstrate that moral "good" does NOT depend on any "God" 👇 let's say the there is indeed a "creator god and let's say we all become aware of this one true "creator God" and understand implicitly and precisely how he wants us to live our lives and the rules that govern this but .................. We also learn that following said rules would infact lead to humanity suffering an eternity of torture and suffering. 😱😱 Would it still be a "GOOD" thing to follow said rules ??? Would we be "justified" in following them ?? 🤔 *I would emphatically say NO to both questions* Indeed the total opposite would be the case following the rules would be a "BAD" thing and we would be entirely justified in NOT following them. This is because the words "Good" and "Bad" in actuality refer to our desires with regard to "WELLBEING" and the actualization of a situation that conforms with said desires, regarding wellbeing and the values it incorporates not the perceived desires or nature of a "creator" Now let's change our "God" to the Christian one, now we recognise that *EVEN IF* he exists and the things he tells us ( his laws ) would lead to an eternal paradise, it would only be "GOOD" to follow said laws because of their conforming with *"OUR"* perception of "WELLBEING" Now call me fussy but I don't think its "Good" to kill children for making fun of baldness ( as the biblical God did ) Nor to own people as "PROPERTY" for forced labour. For the life of me I can't see how the execution of people who gather sticks on a sabbath could ever be said to be "Good" 🤔 I could go on and on and on .....
@trumpbellend6717Ай бұрын
A few basic questions that you will hopefully answer for us all 👇 Is the "unaliving" of babies and children ALWAYS objectively immoral *YES or NO* ? 🤔 If "unaliving" babies and children is alledgedly carried out or instructed by your subjective "God" is it moral *YES or NO* ? 🤔 If "unaliving" babies and children is alledgedly carried out or instructed by a different subjective God is it moral *YES or NO* ?? 🤔 Is your OPINION regarding the "correct" God who's allegedly the basis for morality a "SUBJECTIVE" one or a "OBJECTIVE" one ?? 🙄 Let the mental gymnastics ensue......
@trumpbellend6717Ай бұрын
My morality tells me that *"Buy your slaves from the heathen nations that surround you"* Is not nor ever was a "moral" instruction and certainly not a moral reference standard that anyone should adhere or aspire to. Do you agree *YES or NO* ?? 🤔
@trumpbellend6717Ай бұрын
The word _true_ means something is based on facts, not imagined. _Truth,_ on the other hand, refers to the real facts about something. It's *_"objectivley true"_* that the world has believers in many different subjective invisible "Gods" but the *_"objective truth"_* of said believers beliefs is a different matter 😜
@orthodoxwsАй бұрын
Thanks for all your questions! I appreciate the dialogue and the logical approach that you are taking. We'll try to answer them in the next video. Did you watch the whole first video? It lays the general framework for understanding the specifics. Would you agree that your underlying questions could be summarized/synthesized as follows? 1) Can the killing of innocents be considered objectively moral solely because it is commanded by a deity? 2) Is morality objective only if rooted in God, or can it be defined by human well-being and universal principles? 3) How can one reconcile the biblical God’s actions or commands with a consistent and universal standard of morality? 4) Should moral goodness be defined by alignment with divine will, or by its consequences for human well-being?
@trumpbellend6717Ай бұрын
@orthodoxws 🤔 Hmm no, surely the most pertinent questions must be ...is your "opinion" with regards the "right" God subjective or objective?? Can we ground morality in "any" God or just the particular one YOU determined is the "right" one out of the many thousands man has invented ?? If your answer is the latter then in actuality its *YOU* and YOUR SUBJECTIVE OPINION that is determining morality dear. if your answer is the former, then asserting objectivity to any moral claim based upon a "God" becomes a completely vacuous useless concept
@trumpbellend6717Ай бұрын
@@orthodoxws 1) Nothing more than the ultimate appeal to authority. This same reasoning can and indeed HAS been used to justify a plethora of attrocities carried out by the religious. Indeed using this reasoning if God were to order the boiling of children alive it then becomes moral to do so. So those doing the child sacrificing to Moloch were merely carrying out the wishes of their God. They too just like you could then say any action ordered by our subjective God becomes moral.
@trumpbellend6717Ай бұрын
@@orthodoxws 2 ) Morality is subjective, we set the rules HOWEVER that does NOT mean we cannot make objective statements about morality. Let me give you an analogy perhaps then you will understand........ Our metric reference standards for weights, distance ( kilometers, meters, centimetres ect ) was originaly a man made concept, arbitrarily concieved with no divine dictate involved. Yet once it becomes accepted and a pre- agreed consensus reached it functions perfectly. A "meter" is not some vague "about this big" concept that varies dependant on culture or God. We can OBJECTIVELY measure things "from within our pre-agreed metric reference framework" 😜 Precisely the same applies to our moral reference standard, it too requires only an agreed upon reference standard in order to function. Can you think of a better standard to aspire and adhere to than one based upon human well-being, empathy, equality and respect ??? 🤔
@trumpbellend6717Ай бұрын
@@orthodoxws 3 ) One cannot, don't forget we have multiple examples of God changing his mind on moral issues in the bible. So if tomorrow God were to once again demand we _"Buy our slaves from the heathen around us"_ Or kill people who worship another God then slavery and genocide are no longer abominations, but moral dictates. 🤔
@trumpbellend6717Ай бұрын
Morality is the cognitive process of differentiating between human intentions, decisions, and actions that are appropriate from those inappropriate. The recognition and evaluation of the consequences our choices have with regards to ourselves and others. My NOT believing in a mythological god in no way impedes the ability of forming such moral assessments. We are self aware conscious pain and emotion feeling individuals capable of love or hate, incredible acts of altruism or depravity. It's how we navigate through life and these potential extremes that define us, not our belief ( or lack of ) in anyone's specific subjective invisible "God"

While I respectfully listened to all your flawed and typically blinkered claims, polarised positions, arguments and justifications here... And fully realise and understand that you are just defending your preferred subjective / indictrinated beliefs... based on a mix personal ignorance, biases, dogma and incredulity! Which I respectfully understand! However the bottom line is far more simple...As the fundemental question simply boils down to whether this naturally conflicted, evolving but highly unstable dipole cosmos and reality is due to, - (1) The ongoing natural interactions of (non sentient) elemental energy and/or matter! Just acting, interacting and reacting in positive and nagative ways to naturally create, form, evolve, destroy and then naturally reuse and recycle everything into new equally unstable temporary formations! Or (2) This is all just an artificially created and controlled realm, or computer game, disney world or simulation! Created and managed externally by one, more or many(?) sentient all powerful entities, deities or squabbling juju gods and devils or rivalling super beings - doing their celestial science college degrees etc! Which depending on all these different conflicting claims, stories, doctrines and hypothesis...may lead to other "positive or native" or "higher or lower" realms, or upgrades, or happy or sad eternal outcomes or endings...or simply ongoing reincarnations until certain test are passed or points are achieved etc etc !??? But always apparently dependant on how we (or our characters) are programmed to perform or under-perfirm in this round of the game!!? Therefore at this stage ..I humbly suggest leaving all the conflicting science books and conflicted "master and minion" religious doctrines, ideologies stories and BS aside ....to just ponder and consider this one simple question! How would (or could) any first cause (whether sentient or non sentient) be "knowing" or "all knowing" of a single thing!?? Or even be able to know or determine or communicate...what it is, might be or thinks it is etc? Let alone be "All knowing" of everything that is possible or yet to come or be!! Only I respectfully ask... please do not rush into responding ..but instead take some time to honestly think about, ponder and fully rationalise this actual question before responding! As to put things into a similar context ....if a sentient baby was born and quickly placed alone in dark large room by itself with zero contact or communication with anyone or anything! how much knowledge or awareness could this sentient babies mind amass - in it's life of constrained unstimulated captivity? Because the truth is very clear ...but unfortunately most unstable and hierarchically indoctrinated, aspirational or delusional humans...don't like, or want to know or accept the actual truth over their preferred fantasies and fictions! Especially where they can be (or might become) eternal gods and devils

@orthodoxws There are more than 15 versions of the bible. Here is the general meaning of Psalm 14:1: "The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good." Here are other quotes from the various bibles your readers may find interesting. Something from: Kings 2:23-24" He went up from there to Bethel, and while he was going up on the way, some small boys came out of the city and jeered at him, saying, “Go up, you baldhead! Go up, you baldhead!” And he turned around, and when he saw them, he cursed them in the name of the Lord. And two she-bears came out of the woods and tore forty-two of the boys. Kinda harsh, no? Psalms 13:7:9: Blessed is the man who takes your babies and smashes them against the rocks! Hmmmm, this guy is mean! Mathew 18:8-9: "So if your hand or foot causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. Better to enter heaven crippled than to be in hell with both of your hands and feet. And if your eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. Better to enter heaven with one eye than to be in hell with two." But I only snuck one cookie out of the jar! Isaiah 45:7l I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things. Wow! You made me an atheist? Matthew 7:1 "Judge not, that ye be not judged." How can you be a Christian without judging others? Me 9/14/24 "It is folly to quote scripture to an atheist!" There is no god and the bible was written by men of the day that recorded the stories of other men that spoke folly for almost a hundred years. Looking forward to hearing more from you. And please don't tell me I will see the truth some day. And please don't pray for me and tell me you love me cause you don't.

How did god say the truth in the garden of Eden? He said the would die as result of eating the fruit. Did not happen. There is a difference between not live forever and to die. Additionally one of translations of the hebrew word is "to die suddenly" so god DID mean they would die right after eating the fruit? In the light of that, how do you conclude that God is the truth and "satan" that never was in garden of Eden lied?

And where does the Bible say anything about Satan in book of Genesis? Nowhere. It says serpent. You understand how thats crazy that you make a video about how people are twisting meaning of words and then do it yourself? Pure hypocricy
@orthodoxws4 ай бұрын
In Orthodox Christian theology, the connection between the serpent and Satan is drawn primarily from the Book of Genesis and later Christian writings. Here's a summary of how this connection is understood: The Serpent in Genesis: The serpent appears in Genesis 3, where it tempts Eve to eat from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, leading to the Fall of mankind. While the text of Genesis itself does not explicitly identify the serpent as Satan, later Christian interpretation sees the serpent as an instrument or embodiment of Satan's deception. Satan as a Deceiver: The identification of the serpent with Satan becomes more explicit in later biblical texts, particularly in the New Testament. In Revelation 12:9, Satan is directly called "that ancient serpent," referring to the serpent in the Garden of Eden. The serpent is described as a symbol of cunning and deceit, which corresponds to Satan's role as the deceiver of humanity. Patristic Teachings: The Church Fathers often interpreted the serpent as a representation of Satan. For example, St. Irenaeus of Lyons (2nd century) in his work Against Heresies writes that Satan, through the serpent, sought to alienate humanity from God by tempting Adam and Eve. St. John Chrysostom (4th century) also highlights that the serpent was used by Satan as a tool to bring about humanity’s fall by appealing to their pride and desire for knowledge. Orthodox Understanding: In Orthodox theology, Satan is understood as a fallen angel who rebelled against God and now seeks to lead humanity into rebellion as well. The serpent in the Garden of Eden is seen as his first major act of temptation, marking the beginning of the spiritual warfare between good and evil, which continues throughout salvation history. In summary, in Orthodox Christianity, the serpent is viewed as a symbolic manifestation of Satan's deception, with the connection becoming more explicit through the teachings of the New Testament and the interpretations of the Church Fathers.

@@orthodoxwsIm glad that we agree its traditional christian INTERPRETATION. The Jewish people, who literally OWN this culture, have a different interpretation tho. They do not equivicate serpent with Satan, they see the whole Eden event as test, a choice from god, a choice between living forever in perfect world and between spiritual growth through knowledge of good and evil. They believe thats why we must now live in the lowest of worlds, to experience suffering and death, our mission beeing spiritual growth. And that say OG Jews. And your interpretation is dependant on scriptures of New Test. that came hundreds of years layer and may have nothing to do with original teachings. Point is i present two conflating interpretations. Why would i choose yours? How do you show that yours is correct? In my view it nullifies your argument.

Opinions... we all have em. When your worldview is filtered through the lens of a convoluted set of rules, you're forced into imagining things that can't be reciprocal to everything else you know/may learn from countless other sources... It is called a delusion. What allows a person to have accurate opinions about what surrounds them? Studying without bias. The art of studying life is called science.. not scripture nor theism nor belief, but... a proper methodology to determine what is "more likely real" from what is a delusion/fiction. For a Very Long time we've known that several "theories" are insurmountably grounded in reality regardless of how you look at it... finding gaps will still make it 99% demonstrated as true. The missing % is just morally sound. Science stays humble... the study of life stays humble....... the study of what men wrote on pieces of (not even paper/therefore was modified endlessly by kings that were the only ones to be able to reproduce such a strangely amoral requiem of stories.. sincerely, kids from around your block can imagine something more morally sound than the stories in any denomination of Abrahamic religions.. put that in perspective) something centuries ago. Not only did a king had mathetical affiliations cramped up in this thing to confuse the heck out of gullible people, you still don't grasp that you can see the benefit of a red toaster and that you'd have the same chills if you were to pray for it. Science also knew (for a long time, now) that your conscience is confined to the brain... I would surmise that we attempt to preserve energy in the form of photons that are at the epicenter of our mitochondria and that their whole purpose is to fuel the rest of our cells... which makes us just a giant organism of more primitive cells... the ability to think is just biological, BUT... morality remains important as it is how these cells in your body operate.. if Any of those were to decide to change their function and act like humans do, we'd be dead rather quickly. We've created countless notions for each other to be able to coexist and only those that followed certain rules were able to reproduce.. sure, those a s s hats that subjugated and used people seemed like they have more opportunities etc... but... they don't procreate to have children that are going to be alike them... It becomes random. It takes you to have high moral standards from LOGICAL (not theo"logical") perspective in order to promote the consolidation of life... Science helps, but... grasping that Secularity helps you reason is a cornerstone of science/reality... Without the basis taught by these thought processes that worked for hundreds of years now, we've built countless things to better our lives and countless others that aren't great because we don't know the full effect of what we're doing... If you remove the failing components from a system, you get a better system. So far, religions were at the center of nearly all dissensions of this era. Islam is just christianity on steroids (as it was just plagiarized from it by a wa nker/manipulative and unstable man).. that doesn't make Christianity "the better solution"... it just makes it a more convoluted issue to untangle and.. well I have. Some of which cannot have been lost in translation or time and creates oppositional minds. Countless verses corrupt the very action of enabling your mind to grasp what is "divine" (good for goodness' sake/meant to consolidate life itself). You can create entities to promote such things, but you will never reach your full potential if you keep shoving nonsensical garbo in your equations. Remove everything that seems vague and what are you left with? Good ol' variables that help you understand the vagueness to either dismiss it or restructure it. Metaphysics aren't a thing no matter how you (or other people) want to make them one. Just use the principles that a highschool science teacher forces onto their class. Properly identify the variables and work the nonsense out of it, guys.

The cosmological argument for God also makes no sense. Its based on the claim that you can't have a Universe based from nothing, the big bang theory came from nothing, according to creationists, or the perfect design claimants. Yet the creationist theory, if you can call it a theory, is also by and large, an event that comes from nothing. What was there before God came into the picture? Err, umm, ah........NOTHING! Before the big bang, the singularity event, there wasn't exactly nothing. There had to be something, the theory goes, that you couldn't measure events out using our current laws of physics because those laws as we know them today, didn't exist. The cause that it had to be GOD, is preposterous, it has nothing to back it up except faith, pure belief. Its like a flat earth claim, which is in a nutshell, " Nuh-ah, that sounds dumb, God had to have done it".
