An infantary man can carry more 5.45 bullets then 7.62 due to weight in combat plus 5.45 causes incapicatation in majority cases then casulaties with 7.62.

Dude a coach gun is a 10 gauge black powder side by side, not a sawed off. Sawed offs are illegal because you are lucky to hit what you point it at and more likely to injure everybody else, including yourself. Cut the barrels down past a point and the gun loses all its power too. The sawed off in your video are only useful up to like 5 meters. That is why the dude in the clip is loading slugs as buckshot or bird would be a loud cough and a lead shower.

Only reason my Deagle wouldn't be good as a self defense weapon is because of over-penetration even if the uninvited guest is hit dead center mass. My walls are essentially made of graham crackers _however_ the double plated steel door could serve as an impromptu backstop so at that point it'd be about angling. Let's not forget about noise profile. A smaller caliber weapon can be heard for a 2 mile radius so something like a .44Mag on up will wake the neighborhood, the deceased, and will likely catch the attention of all LEOs patrolling random streets around the city. The silver lining is there won't be any need to dial 9-1-1 because 40 people already will be doing that shortly. Suppressed models do exist. By that I think two, one of which is owned by Scott from _Kentucky Ballistics_ channel and it's only been recent. Even then, still ridiculously loud which will cause an alarm throughout the neighborhood. The last practical problem is the risk of police confiscating the pew-pew because... reasons... and may be impossible to get back. I bought mine in early 2018 for a cool $1390 after tax + one free extra mag. After the tweaks I put into it, you bet I'd be royally pissed to never see it again. When involved in a justified self defense pew-pew fight it's best you be carrying something cheap but functional, lest ye suffer buyer's remorse knowing it won't be yours ever again without putting up a fight.

saw a video of Russian Special forces operators in ukraine talking about how the 7.62 AKs were much more effective in Trench, urban combat due to it's ability to chew through concrete and it can deliver more force to targets who's wearing body armor than the 5.45x39 and there was a footage of VDV in hostmel using AKM probably because of the reasons i've mentioned. so don't think kalashnikov not liking 5.45 isn't really all that crazy after all.

The Soviets tested this in the early 40s and acknowledged their 5.6mm round, later developed into the 5.45x39, performed better as an infantry round. Their manufacturing capabilities had been decimated by the war so the choice was made to keep the new cartridge a 7.62mm so they could use the same barrel manufacturing facilities as their legacy 7.62x54 systems. The AKM even has the same twist rate as the Mosin for this reason. The 7.62x39 was adopted for logistical pragmatism. That is it. As soon as the Soviets could afford to, they developed a small caliber, high velocity rifle round and adopted the 5.45x39. The 7.62x39 has a lackluster reputation that is well documented, going clear back to Fackler in the 1960s. Every relevant military on earth uses a small caliber, high-velocity rifle round for standard infantry use. You could blame one military on bureaucratic bumbling, but when peer and adversarial militarys jump on the same bandwagon, and stick with it for 60 years, it probably has merit. Only 2nd world warlord goat herders and low-IQ American Bubba Fudds use the 7.62x39 because rounds like the 5.45x39, 5.56x45, and 5.8x42 are objectively superior.

I have ARs, AKs, SKSs, a SCAR, an ACR, and many other rifles. My favorites are my FALs and BAR replica. The FAL just has such penetration and stopping power. The biggest issue with it is that the bullets have a tendency to punch straight through a target and not come to a stop inside it and dump the energy into the target.
@Maks-xg2fd3 күн бұрын
In war I used both. They are different and my experience is that AK is far superior in close combat in small urban areas..FAL is better on open terrain.

ummmm yeaaahh, we have seen in ukraine that body armor isn't really a significant factor. After all, soldiers still have to move around to accomplish their objectives, and steel or ceramic plates are heavy. Also, trying to kit out entire divisions in full lvl 4 armor is utopic. And even then, if push comes to shove you will still have a support weapon in .308 or 7.62x54R nearby.
@SuperFunkmachine3 күн бұрын
A lvl 4 vest might become the norm but there still a lot of unarmored man around that vest. i'll argue that we'll see more frag rated armor around a lvl 4 core, wagering for survivable over all. After all most wounds are from small fragments not bullets and only bullets to the chest and head kill out right.
