Schumacher in 1992 in his first full year in F1 in an inferior car with manual transmission and barely knowing the tracks finished the season ahead of the veteran Senna who drove a superior car with automatic transmission.

Schumacher had a much better car. Some people don't have the brains they were born with. Senna was better than Schumacher in every way. He wouldn't have ever needed team orders, for drivers like Massa, Irvine or Brachello. Schumacher, on the other hand, often needed Brawn to step in and ask his teammates to slow down and allow Schumacher to pass.

Michael was the goat and till this moment he stays. 2 Fangio,3 Ascari 4 max Verstappen 5 Senna 6 Lauda 7 Hamilton 8 Prost. The only man who can go over you is this 27 year natural talent 4 worldchampion. He is the only talent as good as you . By Hamilton it’s was the car wich brings hm luck . @@Steve-z1k7u sure, pre Turbo era Cosworth was perhaps the best engine. But in the 90s Renault was the dominant force. I think the context is aiming at Senna's criticism of Ford V8 while Schumacher proved you can still be very competitive with it. But Renault was still mightily better.

We could replay Donington, from that year, but all you need to remember, is Senna's McLaren had the standard off the shelf Cosworth, which had far less power than the works Ford which the Benetton had.

MSC went faster through eau rouge than everyone due to a great racing line, really committed turning right to climb the hill and carrying so much extra speed for the whole lap.

In 1992, on the starting grid, the score was Senna 14 x 2 Schumacher. At the starts, Senna remained ahead at the end of the first lap 14 times, compared to 1 for Schumacher and one collision between the two. While both were on the track, before retirements, Senna was ahead of Schumacher in 12 of the 16 races. He won 3 races against just one from the German. He finished 3 points behind in the championship because he abandoned 7 times, compared to Schumacher's 4 retirements.

Senna's 92 McLaren was superior to the Benetton, Schumacher was a rookie, Senna was in his prime. "On the starting grid" means nothing, the race is what counts.

And then... throughout all 93 season: "Ayrton Senna blitzes Michael Schumacher". On all accounts - even if using a costumer Ford V8 engine for the most part (when compared to Benetton) and not being fully commited to race that season for the full championship. A Race is not Races.👍

He won 3 championships in the best car. Schumacher won 7 titles with the first in a v8 car. He took Ferrari from also ran to dominating the sport and sewed up 5 titles in a row. Senna was done by 1993. Past his best and would've been lucky to win another title.

Senna intentionally crashed into Prost at 250 kmh to take him out and win the championship in 1990. Senna also tried to push outside of the track or into the wall practically everyone who wanted to overtake him, like he did with Schumacher in Spa 1993 or Canada 1993 or even with Mansel during practice.

@@bandohjfusion Schumacher had a lucky career. Mansell retired in 1992, Prost in 1993 and Senna died in 1994. Schumacher raced against mediocre drivers like Damon Hill, Jacques Villeneuve, Rubens Barrichelo and Juan Pablo Montoya. The first good driver to emerge - Fernando Alonso - defeated him and retired him. Imagine if he had raced simultaneously with Alonso, Vettel, Hamilton and Verstappen... he would have won two titles at most.

@@pimmen2403 Schumacher never had contact with his opponents, unless on very low speeds. Senna nearly killed Prost at more than 250km/h crashing on purpose on him. And about the Schumacher x Barrichello move you mentioned... you clearly must be a child, because Senna pulled the exact same move on Prost at Estoril. Except, Schumacher left space...

Theyve never had a fully automatic gearbox. Williams tested one but it was banned. They're semi automatic with the shifter paddles behind the steering wheel

@@posniknelb6114 Williams tested a CVT and never raced it, but F1 did use automatic gearboxes (in a way) for some time if i am not mistaken. The commentator himself says the driver doesnt need to shift gears, since they are computer programmed in advance. They had the manual override with paddles. Maybe not fully automatic in a sense of being autonomos all the time, but more than close enough. In 2000 this was banned and only semi automatic gearboxes without preprogramming are allowed to this day.

@@posniknelb6114 They did use full auto gearboxes in 93 and full auto only going down in 94. They could use the paddles to "override" the system whenever they needed - for example to short shift when appropriate. Williams tested a CVT transmission - which was a diferent concept.

Everyone says rain is the great equaliser in motor racing. I think it says it all that every time it rained, Schumacher was head & shoulders above the others. What a genius. I see a lot of the same qualities in Verstappen in the rain. I'm so glad I got to watch Michael's career growing up.

Schumacher had a third car devoted to him at Ferrari and as the number 1 driver he had the opportunity to change it to a wet setup if chose to. Not to take anything away from him.

Chris needed to chanhe raquets earlier work on her serve make it bigger stronger. Be much more aggresive hit returns at Martinas feet. And she would have won.
