My gas cap was bad, turned off the CE-light, they parked it for a month, battery went DEAD!, stupid VW. Now I can smog and got charged for fail cause evap and catalyst INC. My GMC I do this method because a new computer was pricey and the issue bank 2 sensor 2 it is random.

I got a car from carvana. Registration last day was due on 1/3. However, I was told by the dmv to do a smog check, and now I went to do a smog, and it failed. The check engine light was on like yours, I tried to speak to carvana and they want to pay money to the mechanic, I said why I already paid you for the car in October 2024 and supposed to be I should not have all these issues...whats your recommendations? Thanks man I'm in vegas too and my tags are exspired and need to pass my smog test it keeps showing check engine light for the thermastate but I put a new one in not that long ago

No Joey, not the rice! Being a good Pinoy myself I know how dedicated you must be to use your sack of rice as your test medium! I honestly can say that depth is not the greatest factor for me when using a pinpointer. I really enjoy my Quest XPointer Max which you have reviewed before but I also own a couple Garretts, a Pro-Find 40, XP MI-4 & a Nokta Accupoint. Where would you put the Tekpoint in this group? I have considered getting a Fisher FPulse.

You have your sensitivity to high on multi it magnifies the signals like adding to much gain or some instantes boost.Turn down the senstivity.

Great video! I've dinged up enough bottoms of my arm cuffs to try to be careful when I set down my detectors. Good job on the modification! I heard Quest is working on a couple new detectors. Possibly re-designing the Q80? Great stuff again Joey!

Chances are those reports of giant CATFISH are real , I have heard similar stories , and actually seen old legit photos of , fish of various species Catfish ,sturgeon Lake trout etc , but have seen sharks in rivers. TERRIFIC review. wish it came with a 3"(?) more road-worthy & less-knobby tire. Roads are smooth & safe in SW FL, USA :-) grassed over smooth shellrock unpaved roads at worst (cool!). Can one exchange wheel & tires like that??

Joey- Liked your video about the Quest popularity(or lack there-of) in the States! Was looking at the Q60 which is multi-tlfrequency but I hear that Quest is scrapping that and are coming out with a couple new detectors. Trying to get more info on those. I have the XPointer II & the XPointer Max and I've had good luck with both of them here in the now cold Midwest. I've heard of people having troubles with them detecting in cold temps. I like the discrimination tones on the Max which I have also with my Nokta Accupoint. Good video!

Thank you soooo much Man !!!!!!! You saved me thousands of dollars!!! This worked! I didn’t think it would work but it did ! •I purchased a scanner tool off of Amazon Prime for $16 (WIFI ELM 327 OBD2 Adapter Scanner Reader) • using the scanner tool that I bought I connected to my phone and deleted the codes, then I drove it around on the highway going up to 55 and then letting go of the gas and heading towards an exit and let my jeep stop by it self then I would hit the gas at 3/4 and got back on the highway and did this 3-4 times about 30 min of driving . • then I went home and turned off my jeep and turned it back on drove around my neighborhood then parked then turned it off again and then I turned it back on like 3-4 times and then the device said I was ready for emissions and my check engine light had still not turned back on so I parked it in my driveway and went to the emissions place next morning and passed the test !!! And as soon as I drove out of the place it turned back on 😅 but now I have tags for 2 more years !!!
