Ha! Yes, about 90% of this trip was wet and windy... Including Storm Lillian when I was by the sea... Very unlucky, though it was still very beautiful

I was born in Dumfries, but its been a good couple of years since I was last down that way. Last time I saw Dock Park it was underwater
@wegailygadabout20 күн бұрын
I had been told by a local on a narrow boat that where I was parked would be underwater after a full moon so I picked the right day to park there. Absolutely crazy. But such a nice place and so friendly! I spent an hour in a field with some whippet owners who wanted to meet the puppies.

I LOVED this place so much. Highly recommend visiting AND I equally recommend talking to locals and finding out more hidden gems! Have you found any special places from talking to strangers!?

Being in the van in a storm was quite scary but I am glad I didn’t move on and stayed overnight because the stopover is very nice (and free!) I am going to miss waking up by the beach that is for sure! Do you have a favourite beach in Scotland you like to stay/visit?
@wegailygadabout20 күн бұрын
Since getting back from Scotland my sister has brought me a special fob and a lanyard so that I can easily find my keys 🙄 I think I have a reputation in the family... Thanks everyone for joining the adventure with me. Have you visited Stirling at all?

Have you ever been to the Edinburgh Fringe!? I def think I need to go back to the city for a few days when it isn’t on so I can see more. Maybe I’ll get a pup-friendly hotel for a few days...

Thanks everyone, for joining me on my first big solo adventure! I have more planned, but first I must sell Jezebel and get something bigger! Puppies are too big now for us to camp comfortably, so we hope to get something new in the Spring! Where should we adventure next!?

Have you stayed overnight at the Falkirk Wheel? I didn’t (mainly because I was dangerously close to running out of money!) Let me know what it’s like! Which would you choose if you had to stay at The Kelpies or The Falkirk Wheel?

Bloody typical though 😂 worst thing was my parents did the last 2weeks of my trip in reverse 2 weeks later and it was glorious sunshine every.damn.day! Hopefully Jez will be sold and I can get on with buying a bigger van and getting the build done. Not sure what I'm going to do until then as it's become impossible for us all to sleep in her. The pups are too big!

The one thing that I didn't get to do because of the weather was see the aurora borealis. Every night when I was in the perfect location for it, it was cloudy and/or raining. No star gazing for me this time around, hopefully next time!

Well, I came across you searching for blackout curtains in a vehicle! Really glad I did too. I enjoyed following you on your treks. Well done on a very entertaining and enjoyable mini series.

@wegailygadabout it was a shame about the weather, but if you hadn't actually visited all of those beautiful places. Everyone who follows you would have missed out too. I for one am very thankful. You dogs are so cute! It looks like you had a wonderful day in Edinburgh. We are visiting with our doggy in February so it was nice to see you enjoy the day with your dogs. The Kelpies are the mermaids of Scotland I guess haha. The kelpies look super cool! Especially at night. Xx
@wegailygadaboutАй бұрын
I think as a city it's pretty dog friendly (all of Scotland was to be honest). They were very welcome on the trams (all the team had dog treats for them) and in the pubs as well. The Kelpies were so cool and I'll definitely stay there again.

It's definitely much more difficult to film and keep them all under control 🤣 it was much easier with just Sadie. But I'm getting better at it!
@janettesmith4570Ай бұрын
Looked like the puppies were trying to knit with their leads, getting Sadie involved 😂. We have stayed at the Kelpies a couple of times once when we visited Edinburgh and another time on our way home. They are fantastic 😎

I'll give it a watch today! I am also very glad I found them. I was getting pretty hysterical by the end. Since the trip my sister got me a Tile tracker so I can find my keys via my phone and vice versa. Might be the best gift I've ever been brought!
@Ratty_RexАй бұрын
More amazing views and memories made. (Albeit, some of the wrong type with keys and harness. 😢) I keep meaning to ask, have Xena and Zelda changed Sadies behaviour... is she less anxious and a bit more mellow?
@wegailygadaboutАй бұрын
They have! She's still very anxious about a lot of things but they've definitely made her more playful and curious.
@jmartin6562Ай бұрын
Thank you for letting me join you on this trip. Shame about the keys (again lol) where's the footage of you shrieking at the dogs 😂 Honestly I really look forward to your videos. Keep them coming please 😊
@wegailygadaboutАй бұрын
My sister brought me a tile tracker after this trip so that I can find my keys with my phone and vice versa. Wish I'd had it before the trip, but definitely the best thing I've ever been given 😂 luckily no footage of me shrieking at the dogs on the rocks as the tide came in. Serious psycho vibes. I was so scared I wouldn't find them and I had no idea what I would do if that's the case...
@jmartin6562Ай бұрын
@wegailygadabout yes I could see that it had been a stressful time. I'm sorry I didn't mean to be flippant and do realise that loosing your keys would not be great. If you are AA or RAC they will get replacement keys if you get stuck. As I said before, thank you for letting us join you on your travels. I do appreciate it very much and I must admit the scenery has been stunning. Thanks Anjuli
@wegailygadaboutАй бұрын
I didn't take it as flippant at all. I can laugh at the situation now and yes I would've called the AA to come help if I hadn't found them. It didn't help that I was very tired from not sleeping properly through the storm. The pups forgave me though once I had them safely back in the van.
@Ratty_RexАй бұрын
Looked a great time until Lillian hit. The dogs looked like they enjoyed that cove (and echo barks) and Sadie appeared to run off to make a friend on the beach!

They loved that cove, though trying to get all three of them into it was very amusing for the people watching us 🤣

Enjoying following your trip Ajuli. You could have gone from Ballater to Montrose via Finzean to Cairn o Mount to Fettercairn, it's shorter and also nice scenery. Hope you have better weather next time.
@wegailygadaboutАй бұрын
I *think* that's actually the way I planned to go because I didn't want to go through the mountains in my van, but Google Maps changed it up on me whilst I was driving and I didn't notice until too late. Next time though!
