I want to remember him like this, a nice pimp, who wanted the Maiden more punk. Here it is: AOR! 😂 RIP Paul and thank you...
@user-ey7oh2zz3eАй бұрын
Omg thank you STEVE. Cannot imagine my1st maiden listen could have him at the helm of Number. His voice ain't that great that he's ahead of Bruce. Not by a long shot and no stage presence. I'll take current line up, (fine, with or without Jannick) over D'ianno.

He hated these songs, he was a punk rocker but he was forced to play this AOR music to stay relevant. His voice may have been great, but he wasn’t the type of singer for this stuff. Ironically this would have been perfect for a voice like Bruce Dickinson.

I still don’t get why he left Iron Maiden for this. Was he afraid of fame.

Sia il personaggio che la sua voce non c'entrava niente con quel tipo di sonorità glam hard rock... In molti punti sembra stonare... Boh, per me pessima esibizione.

Uma pegada diferente da do iron maiden mas sem dúvida foi um grande cantor pelo menos até essa época. Dá para perceber a qualidade da voz dele até pelo menos está época. As posteriores não conheço. Descanse em paz Great Paul.

I thought he wanted to be more punk etc. This is interesting turn - have not heard this. Love Paul and his voice. Thank you Paul

It's like early Iron Maiden meets Loverboy...doesn't quite work, but it was 1984, and Paul Di'Anno wanted some commercial success.

DiAnno was great in Maiden , but this band is NOT a good fit . You have Paul in his leather bike jacket which he wore with Maiden with these permed manlets wearing headbands , leotards , and leg warmers !!!! The music isn't terrible but it's clashing with his personality . I would've thought he'd join a punk /hard rock band which he's suited for .

Flamin Heart is a fantastic song. This guy got heartbroken when he got sacked from Maiden. He is a much better musician than Dickinson. He could've refined his voice and been an absolute badass. He sub-communicationally knew that Harris wanted to replace him all along. You know these things; he was a street-smart kind of fella. This affected his self-esteem.

Without a doubt good music, and good vocal performance, he could also do AOR. Still, sounds like a Survivor copy.
