How did you get the shot where you were point it towards the sun without getting the sunlight to blow out the image?

Try to shoot in manual and use a high f-stop value like f/11 or higher. If your image still gets blown out you need an ND-filter for your lens. For example, I used an ND8 on this video.

Hey, it's been three years (tomorrow) since you posted this video and I'm still enjoying it. I'm a photographer and aspiring filmmaker and the work itself is incredibly beautiful and evocative. The other reason it moves me is because I've dealt with a prolonged health condition and haven't been able to get out so much and engage in image making and the outdoors in general. It's a huge part of my life. Thanks again for sharing your work, your passion, and this great look at what these affordable, vintage lenses are capable of. All the best to you.
