Hey, it's been three years (tomorrow) since you posted this video and I'm still enjoying it. I'm a photographer and aspiring filmmaker and the work itself is incredibly beautiful and evocative. The other reason it moves me is because I've dealt with a prolonged health condition and haven't been able to get out so much and engage in image making and the outdoors in general. I just got a new camera a couple of weeks ago and have been looking around at some videos on landscapes. Your video came up on the side bar as a result. I really love the concept of short video "landscapes" that you are doing in this collection. It fresh and it introduces motion to the images. It's not something we can hang on a wall easily but it may well be the new way to do meaningful landscape "snaps". Great stuff and I really enjoyed your approach. You may not have many subscribers but you have a new one now.

You're really (with top-notch craftmanship) reminding me how beautiful nature/the forest is, and I really thank you for that! You are a real master and you made me cry a little. What would you say are the nice qualities of this lens except the bokeh? Because sometimes (ESPECIALLY BEFORE watching this video) I'm not superfond of the bokeh, it can make me a little nauseous. Thank you for your kind words! I really appreciate it. The unique bokeh this lens provides is definitely not for everyone and I can relate if it makes you feel kind of nauseous :D Still the bokeh is the “thing” of this lens which makes it kind of a gimmick lens in a way. Other nice qualities I would say are the small size and the “hazy” image it provides. I’m not sure if the hazy image is a feature in every Helios lens or just this particular one but it’s definitely a unique look. If you can get your hands on any Helios lens that is in good condition. I would definitely go for it 😊

Thank you for watching and taking your time to comment! I never rly found a LUT that works great with my camera (5D Mark IV). Then lens did 80% off the job and I just adjusted the basic corrections in premiere with some mild “Kodak Film” look. I’m rly not an expert on color grading myself, but don’t get too hang up on logs, luts, etc. Just start with the basics and use what works for you and your camera 😊
