I also subscribed right after watching the first video I found. By now, I have watched and liked all your videos, just to help you with the algorithm. Please keep going. There's so many new IEMs coming that seem to come with a twist and that might be fun to hear your opinions on

I hope you keep going with this channel. I'm new to the IEM hobby and watched a ton of videos over the past few days to find my entry. It's refreshing how you bounce your impressions off of each other

I DJ and need to hear the bass, but don't want it exaggerated so I know what the mix is really doing - which one do you recommend please?

how do the aerte and estrella compare with these?
@moonsofjupiterАй бұрын
The Arete is a better Cincotres if you ask me. If you want a full sounding warm/neutral iem with hardly any flaws go Arete. I own Doscincos and Estrellas. If you like bass, it’s hard to beat the Doscincos under $500. They just slam, amazing bass quality and texture, have good detail, non fatiguing, very pleasing treble while still being smooth. Estrellas (6 drivers) are almost identical through the upper mids but add more presence and upper extension. They have a new super tweeter that almost sounds like EST's. The treble exists in a higher plane creating a larger space and soundstage, also wider. The treble energy can be a bit much if you’re sensitive to that and the recording is bright. So it’s not an all rounder. When it hits its magical. 70s/80s stuff like Rush/Genesis sound more dynamic and you can pick up new things. That said I would rec Doscincos first, or Arete if you want cleaner mids and less impactful bass. These all sound way above their cost. The cables and tips should be put aside. I use Azla ASMR tips and open heart copper cables ($20 or less). They tighten the bass and overall sound. I found the stock cables boomy. They could have gave better accessories /cable and charged $50 more but I have no problem with what they did for the price.

@@moonsofjupiter and where do the xenns tea pros fit in all this, the arete is my strongest consideration at the moment but tea pros are tempting
@moonsofjupiterАй бұрын
@@nukert658 I haven’t heard. It’s in the same arena as Doscincos and Estrellas (and Arete). so I wouldn’t be interested. The Tea Pro certainly has nicer packaging, accessories and cable. Also more expensive. Not sure it will sound better than the Ziigaats. maybe for vocals.

Nicely Done. I should of watched this video before the post I just make on the Ziigaat Cincotres. Keep it coming. Thanks

Hey JP & John. Nicely Done. John we got a chance to meet a couple of times at Can Jam NY. Question about the ear tips that fit me so well on the Cincotres and I want to know from a guy who has friends at Linsoul or JP if you know what brand & style is being used ( mine came with clear/smokey with yellow bore tips) so I can buy so backups. Thanks .

Nice review. Meyer Audio Sliivo SLT6 review in the future? I would like to see which sets you guys like!
@larrydunn46266 ай бұрын
the answer is Doscinco and eq the bass region 64, 125 and 250 down 2db. That keeps the technicalities and removes the bass V

can you list better alternatives to the doscinco and cincotres? PS: normally in review videos, this would have been in the comparisons section.

Would be great if you guys can review the HiSenior Mega5EST 7th Anniversary edition with comparisons.

did you tune monarch mk3 and prestige ltd? can you compare the both of them and intent behind their sounds? is monarch mk2 supposed to still be better at vocals than monarch mk3?
@TheAudioReviewShow6 ай бұрын
The Monarch MKIII was created to utilize the new isobaric 2DD system. But apart from that, while the MKII was great as a professional neutral monitor, many people complained that it sounded too flat and boring (which is kind of the intent for a monitor). So the MKIII was tuned with a little more bass and treble to make it sound a little more engaging. I think the Monarch MKII still sounds more accurate as a monitor, but the MKIII presents a more fun sound signature. The prestige was designed also as a neutral monitor, but focusing on upper treble extension thanks to the 4EST drivers. The LTD version refined the tuning a little more to be smoother while still demonstrating good upper treble extension.

Also, apparently the new Simgot Quadbrid, Supermix 4 graphs kinda similarly to the Quintet, so would be interesting to see what you guys make of that!

Thumbs down based on personal preferences are just... stupid. You have to review the product based on what its trying to do at the price range, what's the target public etc. I like sports cars, if I review an SUV, I have to look at the SUV for what it is, for who it is for and if its worth at that price point. Or should I just say it sucks because I personally don't like SUVs? Just silly and waste of time. Maybe I should start an KZbin channel just to give thumbs down to everyhing I personally dislike.
@KmtS97 ай бұрын
Yes go ahead, start a KZbin channel. Literally no one is stopping you. The same way no one is forcing you to watch their videos.
@Viewer131286 ай бұрын
did u misunderstand the video? his personal preferences and target ALIGNED with the Cincotres, but he did not pick the Cincotres because the Cincotres underperformed within its price range and peers. He clearly stated the Cincotres sounded veiled and was less technical than the Doscinco. In addition, he stated that the Cincotres sounded plasticky to him. If your accusation was correct, he would've picked the Cincotres because its FR matched his target. He did not because he actually did what you wanted him to do, which was to review it based on what it's trying to do. Despite the FR matching his preference, the Cincotres underperformed, so he actually said that which is what you wanted him to do. Using your example, he likes sports cars, but he looked at the sports car and SUV for what they were worth and he did not pick the sports car. that's what u wanted right? that's what he did. you're accusing him of the opposite. btw, the reviewer on the right clearly said his verdict: ignoring his personal taste, if you like studio tuning, he does not recommend the cincotres. if you like bass, he definitely does recommend the doscinco. he clearly said for himself, he does not prefer either. he differentiated the two pretty clearly.
@larrydunn46266 ай бұрын
every reviewer thumbs up or down based on what they look for, and as long as they explain WHY the up or down thumb, you can use that information to decide it might be a thumbs up for you and thumbs down for him.
@alvarg4 ай бұрын
I disagree, its impossible to review something without personal bias, no matter what something does or doesn't do, if you don't like it, you stipulate why you do or don't like it and list your personal reasons as to why. maybe someone has similar preference to yours and it will help them, maybe they have the opposite preference but either way they will get an idea of whether something is good or not.

Thank you guys for a wonderful review. I have been confused as to which one to go for put you have both done a great job of pointing me towards the Dosinco. Love my Reggae and Afrobeat music❤ jazz and movies. A quick question to JP you said you would not even get the Dosinco but for that style of tuning and for that price do you know of a better iem?
@Kruptosman7 ай бұрын
? No response
@TheAudioReviewShow7 ай бұрын
Hi! JP here. Thanks for your positive comment! I think the Dosinco is great for general music enjoyment, especially since it gives great bass as well as overall technicalities (resolution and details). I personally prefer more studio neutral tunings, so things that are completely flat in the mids. For a lot of people, neutral tunings can come across as sterile or boring, but it makes for a really accurate sound, which is what I personally want. For around the price range, I think I would also recommend the Kiwi Ears Quintet, or for a little more money ($400) the Thieaudio Hype 4
