Dropping long bars that are hanging way above shoulder height is so unsafe. We’ve all done it but shouldn’t be in such a position in the first place.
@gdshiplashing823929 күн бұрын
True but it's how it is on ships. I tell new people if it feels unsafe don't do it. I've got the strength and technique it's not a big deal to me personally. I don't recommend new people handling Long bar that are above the chest level.

Casual from the west coast here. I had my first coneman job and it was rough. It was just me and there were so many stubborn single pigtail cones. I’m 5’7 and had a lot of trouble using the 5 high bar I was pulling so hard to release the cones but they wouldn’t unlock. Any tips or techniques to deal with stubborn cones? Especially cones where the pigtail is bent down and you can’t hook to pull. Love your videos.

@gdshiplashing82394 ай бұрын
Well it's hard for me to explain how I do it in words, but I'll try. When I slide the long bar through my hand it's similar to how I slide the short bars. The fact I'm 6ft might help my reach up the long bar as well, then I allow the bottom of the bar to slide away from me. At some point maybe I'll do a short video and figure out a better way to explain. Thanks for your comments and be safe.
